It has been a stiff competition to make it to the top thirty for the Nigerian Idol contestants. They have struggled against exhaustion, nerves and thousands of other hopefuls for their ticket to fame, stardom and the $100,000 grand prize. The audience and viewers at home have a third chance to pick three more contestants to join the six already in the Top 12.

The judges for this season are; Afro beat Legend and the latest panel of judges addition, Femi Kuti, International performing artist Jeffery Daniel from 80’s disco/dance group Shalamar and Nigeria’s soul diva Yinka Davies . The highs and the lows of the competition will be brought to you by the suave host, Ill Rhymz, and throughout the month of January, Guest judge Naeto C will be on the show while Kuti completes his US tour.
The Idol grand prize is worth $100,000, and the lucky winner will get: 7.5 million Naira in cash, a recording contract also worth 7.5 million Naira, and a brand new SUV while then runner-ups will receive prizes worth a combined total of 10 million Naira.

Nigerian Idol airs weekends on: NTA Network at 4.00pm on Sunday and 3:30pm on Saturday; Sound City and ONTV at 7.00pm on Saturdays and Sundays; Silverbird at 8:00pm on Sundays and 7:30pm on Saturdays and on TVC at 9:30pm on Saturdays and 8:30pm on Sundays.

It was a tough night for the contestants and they need your votes to make it to the next round. Who will join Safeeyat, Debbie Rise, Vicci, Oreoluwa Liyeli, Kome and Job Emmanuel Idoko?
