NdaniTVNdaniTV‘s Platinum Standard features Jewel by Lisa Creative Director, Lisa Folawiyo this week. The interview was conducted at the JBL Studio/Retail Space in Ikoyi, Lagos. Lisa shared the story of the JBL journey including how the company started, the “embellished ankara” idea, her personal style and more.

    Why not harmattan and rainy collection? Those are our seasons. Winter/Spring clothing made in the West reflects those weather seasons. Just does not sound right to see her point to an Ankara summer dress and say “Winter collection”

      ERRR, the fashion industry works that way. You have to remember that she’s is an international brand and her clients need to “understand” what she is selling. She can name the “winter collection”, “harmattan by JBL” but that does not mean its not “fall/winter 2013”
      You dont expect a construction worker to send in a “domot plan” instead of a “patio plan” because he is nigerian…
