The Wedding Company Nigeria presents “LoveStruck” – “Partners in Crime”
BellaNaija Weddings introduced you to the “LoveStruck” photo series by The Wedding Company Nigeria earlier this week {Click to Read all About It}
The first of the LoveStruck series is a model shoot titled ‘Partners In Crime’. The shoot took place at the Victoria Crown Plaza Hotel in Victoria Island.
Here is what the Wedding Company team told us about the inspiration for this shoot – “This pair are quite simply dangerously in love. Both on the wrong-side of the law, their fiery romance is centered on their passion for one thing- Lawlessness! In these images, we see our Bonnie and Clyde inspired couple staking-out in a hotel room, having passionate moments, before they take off in their getaway car, on to the next city, to cause further mayhem.“
This certainly appeals to couples who are aiming to do something a little bit edgy for their pre-wedding/e-session shoot.

On a side note I hope they use real life couples for their next shoots because while the concept is cool the romance and “look of love” is lacking from these ones. A real life couple with direction will be able to pull off these looks and also exude love and romance through their photos. Their is nothing in the guy’s eyes that tells me he is in love with his chic he looks more concerned with looking good. The chick tried small in the look of love department. Wedding company consider using real life couples next time. We want to see couples that makes us go awwwwww, we want to be able to tell that they are in love just by looking at the photos a picture tells a thousand words these ones just tell me that it is another hard day at work for two models.

hmmmmn okay not bad… I get what you are trying to do now bella, The lady pulled it off quite well, something about the guy’s poses shows he is not so clyde about this bonnie.
No passion in his eyes. Good clothes from Mango and nice concept though. The guy’s expressions if gotten right woulda nailed it for me. We need to also tone down the photoshop just a notch so it looks more real. Would look forward to more none edgy ones but to encourage more engagement, you can ask couples to send their own pictures after youve done like a series of love struck. Okay I’ve written enough now, @talk2duvy over and out.

I believe a good “themed” photoshoot should be able to tell its own story, just by looking at the pictures without the need for a narrative. Compare this with Yvonne “Vixen” Ekwerre’s RASHIDA Photoshoot. Vixen’s own remind one of Fela’s girls without the need for too much talk.

To all those ignorant peeps asking what’s the point? Since you have been living under a rock engaged couples like to take engagement photos popularly known as E-sessions now the Wedding Company Nigeria is showcasing different themes such couples can incorporate into their engagement photos. Class dismissed and NO I am not affiliated to BN or the wedding company ignorance just annoys me.

Too much Photoshop
Ugly clothes on the guy in the first few pictures.
Awkward poses that are definitely not reminiscent of love.
If this is meant to be Bonnie and Clyde themed shoot, your models did not do a good job of selling it.
Did I say too much Photoshop already?
Iyke

@ K.H, can you please for the sake of the audience here, define and explain what Photoshop is and in what context is it too much or not too much. It’s heart breaking the way people who don’t know anything about photography shouts ‘Photoshop’ as if it is not a critical photographic tool. It’s because it was shot in naija and by enterprising artists, you must find a reason to condemn it.
– off – and cut the Photographer and models some slack.

looks a bit tacky to me…use beyonce and Jayz’s video…now that was more classy and still sexy…sometimes less is more. the hotel room shots were too OTT for me…my own opinion

Unfortunatley, The Wedding Company just went down a notch in my book of ‘Chic Organizations’. I actually thought it was a totally classy company. Bellanaija.com BLAZED the trail with the photoshoot campaigns’. Thankfully you have the reviews from bellanaija fans to digest. Wrong PR move. Please go back and re-strategize ehn, and probably hire the PR firm that did bellanaijas’ for them. Biko!

U musnt necessarily use realife couples to achieve what u want @wedding photographers…my humble opinion is not to tell ur models to pose… Give dem d Beach to play with, tell dem to scatter d hotel room (for it not to look impeccable)e.t.c and snap away. Dere’S̶̲̥̅Ơ̴̴̴̴̴̴͡ no how u won’t get a sweeet nice touch, an atmosphere of love, and d feeling dat ur “watching public” will crave for….nevertheless, I tip ma heart to [email protected] model, I sight u.

I loved it. I like the concept of telling a story without using any words. And also, if you can’t use photoshop in a photoshoot, when will you be able to use it? In the first post they mentioned they would use married couples and models, and that’s their decision. They can do that if they want to! Also I think the models tried, the man seemed a little bland, but the girl was fantastic though.
