OMG! When will my second country Ghana get it right with beauty pageants?! I’m so emotional right now! Beauty pageants no matter how we like to sugar-coat it are about BEAUTY! Yeah, brains count but in International pageants, these girls don’t even do any major speaking until Top 5, why can’t we pick a beautiful girl and get her an interpreter if she can only speak Twi or Ga? Please Ghana, i beg you, let’s pick BEAUTIFUL beauty queens…is that too much to ask? *sips zobo*

Abeg! abeg! Nigerians are no better than Ghanaians when it comes to beautiful beauty queens so stop hating and participate in a pageant if you think you are prettier.

You are 100% correct in your thoughts, but remember they have to pick from the crop of entries. The onus is on the pageant coordinators to use scouts to go out and locate the beautiful girls in the country and encourage them to enter the pageant. Another factor may be that the prizes for the winners are too lame and so there is no real incentive for beautiful girls to enter the contest. Look at what Hanniel got, she didn’t even win a car or 10k USD. I wouldn’t waste my time on this contest either if I was beauty pageant material, some of the prizes are lame as hell. They need to offer better prizes to encourage people to enter.

Someone once said every race had “Different Standards of Beauty” until Europeans made us think that the closer resembled them, the more beautiful we were. If the ladies from Ghana, Nigeria, and any other African country do not measure up on superficial “international” standards, so what? We are who we are, and we should maintain Our Own standards.

miss ghana universe is a joke and a big scam. the organizers of miss universe are so unprofessional. the strip last year’s winner off her crown because she said in an interview that they had not given her the deserved package prize for winning the crown. this years audition was so pathetic. few people went for the audition because no one takes them serious anymore.

Choi! I’ve always said it, GH girls are not fine in the face AT ALL, but they always have big booties to make up for it. It’s only the mixed babes that make sense in that country, the rest of them just look so tragic!
