“There is No Such Thing as Too Much Glamour!” – View the Photos from Shakara Couture’s 2013 Ad Campaign

AS SPECIFIED Ready to see some fabulous photos from Shakara Couture? The Nigerian brand, owned by creative director Ewemade Erhabor Emokpae, draws its inspiration from from the 1950’s, a decade which has heavily influenced the brand and its signature cuts and shapes, for its 2013 ad campaign.

For this ad campaign titled ‘There is no such thing as too much glamour, they’re going back in time. The campaign draws its inspiration the 1950’s housewife who was known for doing her daily chores in a full outfit. With pieces from its luxe collection, this campaign has models doing the basics like keeping up appearances, trimming the hedges and doing some fruit shopping at the market.

There are very few designers who catch my attention and there are only 3 designers in Nigeria that i stand at attention for. But this,… this is gorgeous! it is a replica of a past Dolce & Gabbana campaign featuring Scarlett Johansson. I have always wanted to work on a shoot like this so you know I am totally besotted with it. EVERYTHING comes beautifully together and every member of the team deserves a resounding applause.

Equally surprising is that it is coming from Ewemade (no comments attached to that pls). Well done and really good job.

Talk about a back handed compliment! And how is this a replica of anything? Scarlet was shown applying makeup in one picture and now an entire campaign (which was shot and posted online just not Bella Naija, before the d&g one oh) is a replica. I no fit sout! Everybody must to talk. Nancy baby girl, always beautiful. I’m your biggest fan!

Pictures are OK I guess. But I think the models should take more original pictures. I have seen most of these poses in Marie Claire, RED and vogue magazines before.

My incredible Nancy, Hercules on heels. Proud of u babe, u r one of the mst. Talented models I knw you dnt steal ur poses frm anywhere it come naturally.God given. I hate it when pple Cnt just encourage our own models and designers that are good at what they do.its either they say the model stole the pose frm vogue or the designer stole the style frm scarlett abegiii
