BellaNaija.com can exclusively confirm that Nigerian pop star Paul Okoye of P-Square and his fiancée Anita Isama, have officially picked their traditional ceremony date.

We learnt details about the ceremony weeks ago, but Bayo Adetu – P-Square’s publicist has confirmed the news to us. It will take place on Saturday 22nd March 2014 at the Aztech Arcum Events Centre, Port Harcourt, Rivers.

Bayo says “the plan for this traditional ceremony has been going on for a while, but Paul and Anita needed to fix the perfect date.”

Paul and Anita have a son together Andre.

His twin brother Peter Okoye and longtime partner and friend Lola Omotayo, had their traditional engagement in November 2013. To experience the amazing day, click here.

No word on the white wedding yet for the brothers, but we hope it will be soon.

Congratulations to the couple.

Who cares about the white wedding. They have been married traditionally….white wedding is just a waste of money. we need to stop acting like white wedding is the ultimate.

Yay, we have a date and a location! (Hopefully, no wedding crashers, lol). Is this the first Nollywood wedding of 2014? I’m glad they decided to have the traditional wedding in Nigeria. I wonder if Peter and Paul will decide to have their white weddings on the same day.

Why Phc? Anita is from Oguta in Imo State, though her parents live in Phc. Quite unusual. Oguta women are never married traditionally outside that town, the ceremony usually takes place there. Even the ones in diaspora go back home for their trad. Well, what do I know? Times are changing.

If the young woman is in fact from where you say she is, then maybe there is something that is causing them to do it in PH such as the location of the father in PH or her village is not physically suitable for the large crowd including media that will grace the occassion. Maybe they did all the preliminaries in her village, i.e., iku aka/iju ese and ime ego, and the igba nkwu is the one they are doing in PH because it is a more convenient venue.
