Forte Oil has featured its recently unveiled ambassador, Tiwa Savage in the remake of the popular TVC for ‘Super V’ produced in the 1980s. The period boasted of an array of very successful TV commercials, that were creative and helped promote Nigerian products.

Remember those ads that had you rushing to the living room to sing along… such adverts from brands like Omo Detergent, Lux Soap, Limca, Planta Margarine, Nasco Biscuits & Wafers, Thermocool, Tree Top, the list is endless.

      abi o. and Ava soap advert in between supple blues soap opera, or was it during behind the clouds? I’m about TIWAS age and I remember the original version of the advert so well. was about 7 or so. lovely ad, beautiful remake.

    i used to love that advert when i was little. can remember my dad always calling me when it was on, i could dance and sing along all the time in front of the TV.

    see the difference between the women of then and now. that was a true african woman with low cut hair, now weaves reaching the knees have completely fazed out our identity as strong black women! disagree if you want but its true.

    I think the animation was beautifully done and the story line was kept simple and authentic. That said there was no need for Tiwa with her long weave and long claws to feature in the AD, she looks so out of place beside an attendant in FO is no where near that image they are protraing

      what is difficult to understand in the word ‘remake’. every scene has to be replicated but obviously in a modern way.

    First of all, this was a fantastic marketing idea to redo that 1980s commercial. How cool is that and even cooler that Tiwa got to star in it. Love the concept. Naija companies need to follow smart initiatives
