Lupita for Lancome - April 2014 - BN Movies & TV - BellaNiaja

She woke up like this – FLAWLESS…well maybe not exactly.

Academy Award winning (That sounds good, right?) Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong’o has been announced as the new face of French skincare and cosmetics company Lancôme.

She joins Julia Roberts, Kate Winslet and Penelope Cruz, as ambassadors.

As fans of her striking beautiful black skin, we are so excited about it. She was recently vocal about beauty and darker skin. (click here to read)

The actress who became a world sensation through her role as Patsey on 12 Years a Slave, is excited about the new gig.

In a statement, she says “I am truly honoured to join the Maison Lancôme, a brand with such a prestigious history that I have always loved. I am particularly proud to represent its unique vision for women and the idea that beauty should not be dictated, but should instead be an expression of a woman’s freedom to be herself.” she said.

Lupita is also the face of Miu Miu.

The Maison Lancome products will be available in Nigeria soon.

see how this girl has just grown. this is someone who takes her craft seriously, and she’s actually a good actress, from what i saw in shuga. i haven’t watched 12 years yet, so i can’t judge. who God has blessed, no man can curse. our nigerian actresses stay here claiming God’s blessings when they buy cars and build houses, but we know they have been blessed by someone else’s husband. all they know how to do is travel, steal people’s husbands, sleep around with men for money, and visit their juju men. nonsense! Lupita well done jare, God has truly blesses you.

there is always that one person that will bring the joy in a room down with their unsolicited opinion and inferiority complex….how and where does husband snatching come into this story,do u know Lupita personally???do u know what she has done(and who even cares) in her personal life that??just go about judging and comparing others just because you hate your life and the married man you are dating will never leave his wife for u…..awwww..u must really have a hard life

Lancome also sells Skin brightening and dark spot removing potions, just like Dencia .They actually have a cream in Hong Kong called “Ultimate Whitening Hydrating Cream moisturiser”. But Lupita and her monster of a team are cooking. Do they even carry her shade and her mother’s shade of foundation without them mixing and blending 2 bottles? I refuse to buy into the white man’s puppetry and drink his cool aid.

Yes they do sell for dark skin surprisingly, Was surprised when I found out about 5 years ago and I’ve been using their dual-finish foundation powder since(best powder I’ve ever used). So yeah they do tend to darker skin tones. I think people just assume the high end companies don’t. Myself included, I was really surprised when I found my foundation shade with Chanel last month. And I’m not fair I’m “dark skinned”

Money,Money,Money!!!! I would research a coy before signing any contract, but then again money is involved. It is true a journalist would do anything to get a juicy gist even if it cost them their live, but these days even talkshow host pretend and turn blind eye to the obvious to stay relevant.Oprah knows about clarins,Lancome and the rest of them that are into whitening creams but No,they are untouchable.I don’t use or like whitening products but hate hypocrisy.rachttlg.com/2011/04/04/lancome-blanc-expert-ultimate-whitening-hydrating-cream-review/

It’s funny how some products available in a certain continent or country vary. Most companies cater to the regions needs. And East Asia to my knowledge is known for whitening products and the need for whitening is prevalent there. Na wa at the end of the day do what makes you happy. These companies are all about profits and “meeting” consumer needs. At the end of the day no one coaxes or cajoles people to buy. Other than the fact that I don’t really like Dencia, they should leave her. There are people who will buy these products.
