Anambra Governorship Election Petition: Obiano’s Victory Affirmed by Court

The Anambra State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal has dismissed all petitions leveled against Governor Willie Obiano.

Last year, some individuals from All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Obiano’s party – All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), went to court to challenge the conduct of the supplementary election that gave Obiano victory in the Anambra governorship election.  They  alleged that the election was illegal. 

However, tribunal chairman, Justice Ishaq Bello, has upheld the Governor Willie Obiano election and dismissed the petitions, Channels TV reports.
