Nigerians Own Most Houses on Expensive London Street

Some Nigerians in London sure are balling!

Around 70 percent of houses on Edgerton Crescent, an expensive London street, are owned by Nigerians, Punch reports.

This revelation was reportedly made by Charles Dukwe, Chairman of New Nation, an empowerment-oriented group while speaking with newsmen in Port Harcourt on Saturday after announcing the launch of some grass roots campaigns against diabetes and high blood pressure.

UK citizens avoid purchasing houses on that street due to their extravagant price tags, which range between £3 million to £4 million.

“British celebrities that have money don’t buy houses on that street. They will tell you it is too expensive. But 70 per cent of the houses there are owned by Nigerians,” Dukwe said.

He also said that some Nigerians were investing funds from the country in Europe and other Western countries, leaving the people at home jobless.
