Authorities yesterday found a  10-year-old girl in Katsina state, strapped with explosives.

Two suspected Boko Haram members were found travelling with the girl in a Honda CRV car which was heading towards Katsina state, The Independent reports.

The terrorists have been arrested.

Government spokesman, Mike Omeri released a statement about the incident:

Security forces on Tuesday, July 29, at about 10pm along Zaria Road, Tudun Wada of Funtua Metropolis, arrested three suspects believed to be members of the Boko Haram sect.

The three suspects consisted a male named Iliya Haliru, and two females – Zainab Musa, 18, and Hadiza Musa, 10. The three suspects were arrested in a Honda CRV.

When they were directed to disembark for security check, 10-year-old Hadiza was discovered to have been strapped with an explosive belt. And immediately, Iliya and Zainab made attempt to escape with the car but were later blocked by other concerned Nigerians and subsequently arrested.

The police successfully unstrapped the explosive.

It is on this note that we appeal to parents to cautiously observe and watch their children’s activities to prevent them from participating in unwholesome activities particularly acts of terrorism.

It is clear that some parents are also into this that they are willing to take their children, as young as 10 years, into act of cowardice and self-destruct. However, we wish to express our appreciation at the level of the consciousness of Nigerians on security issues and their contributions to supporting security agencies.

The government is closely liaising with domestic and international intelligence agencies within the newly established regional intelligence fusion unit to track and capture all terrorists and their sponsors in the country.

Such a clown; the “chibok girls” are not anywhere near 10 years old. How you people rush to spread ridiculousness baffles me. Even the alleged 18 year old; while within the age bracket is not a chibok girl
There are impressionable girls in the north; in great numbers. As with any other part of the world. These may be almajirai or girls tutored under an extremist preacher.
Har wai “all fears and speculations is confirmed”. Ba za ku kashe ni da daria ba

Have they considered that these ‘female suicide bombers’ may have been cohered!
God forbid but what if these are some of the ‘chibok girls’, who have been told that they’ll be released if they can help transport the bomb to a location for the BokoHaram idots/sub-humans…and the girls agree unknowingly, not knowing the true intentions or not knowing they will meet their deaths instead.
Worse still, they could be threatened with the harm of another family member if the refuse to do the do!
One might ask if this is the case, why won’t the girls ask for help when in the open (out of boko haram’s camp)? Well maybe they are being monitored closely by one of them, and have been told “if you even attempt to make contact or talk to anyone, you will be shot”

Gah, Nigeria needs a lot of strategic thinking.
Less Idiots who have no clue what they are doing, and more qualified individuals!
    Enough said.

@Pretti, God is really not sleeping. But guys we really need to think of the mindset the chibok girls may have by now. They have spent 3 months with these beast and there is no telling what they can do. While many may not want to accept the truth is these girls must have been brainwashed.
