Kate Henshaw: “If You Want Change, Vote for Me” | Watch

Kate Henshaw - August 2014 - BN Movies & TV, BN News - 01
Kate Henshaw is ready to make a change.

In July, news went viral that the Nollywood actress was contesting for a seat in the Federal House of Representatives in her state Cross River.

In a quick chat with Sahara TV, she discusses her new career path. When asked if she is quitting acting for good, the mum of 1 says she is taking a break to serve the greater path of the society for just 8 years and will go back to acting.

She also made reference to Arnold Schwarzenegger, an actor turned Governor of California. Kate says she plans to go in there make noise and “leave when the ovation is loudest”

On plans to financially compete with people who have been in politics for years, she adds “I can’t match people who have been there for 20, 30 years, I am going with God and my heart”

You’re online making a passive insignificant unrelated comment. She’s on the court making a real difference.

First time I heard this woman speak, she is so B-U-S-H. Christ! is this really how she sounds? She reminds me of Tattoo, the midget from Fantasy Island from back in the day. She couldn’t even articulate why she is running. Why is she being celebrated so much? Mediocre to say the least…

Ode what is so bush about her… on what authority are you questioning her. Just like the indians, chinese, irish, etc she is speaking the way and manner predominant to her clime. Why do nigerian reject themseves like this. You want her to speak like the queen of England before you would identify with her cause shey… Ode magnified.

She sounds extremely aggressive and rough……..but then again, Nigerian politics is like a battle. So maybe she has the right mind set. We’ll be watching.

She is trying to sound and act like the masses so they believe she is like them and can relate and understand their problems

she has “ogas” in high places, so i won’t be shocked if she gets what she’s looking for. i hope she actually does something, even if she chops money like other people.

The Sky is the limit for you and your career. When we said that we meant it, as it pertains to acting only. Arnold Schwarzenegger tried this shift in career and plunged California into bankruptcy. Ronald Reagan did, and permanently gave us the party of family values (of course I beg to differ on their values). Point is, acting was and is your thing, party hopping and showing up at gigs, you were great, we loved you for it and still do. But please leave the serious, life impacting decision to the rest of us who understand politics, and keep on entertaining us. We haven’t complained before about your acting because you were good at it. Dont become jack of all trade master of none.
