ROFL , I am so mad at myself for even watching. It so painful to watch that it makes me cringe.

      August 29, 2014 at 10:32 pm

Thank you P-Square for taking music away from the usual “making up of new vowel rich razzz words like Shangalo, Gobe, ajanta etc.” And also for not using the common naija music sound that every naija song has. I have this song and video on replayyyyy!!!!!

    August 29, 2014 at 12:54 pm

Mediocre, its like they haven’t sued u people before, if you like keep plagiarising other people’s work. Copy, remix and paste that’s what nigerians are very good at.

    • John Omoge

      August 29, 2014 at 4:43 pm

How do you know they didn’t get permission to use it? They make more than enough to pay for the copyright. You think they’ll be involving T.I. on the track if they didn’t?

    • John Omoge

      August 29, 2014 at 4:47 pm

Sampling is common in hiphop. Kanye West, JayZ, everybody does it. I can give you many examples. ‘Through the Wire ‘was based on a Shaka Khan song. Appreciate instead of hating. These are people trying to do things in a country with zero support or structure. They inspire me and should inspire you too.

    • bruno

      August 29, 2014 at 5:21 pm

Pls can all you people shut up,what do you people know, shut up pls, I know what sampling is,M.I.A paperplanes, T.I swagger like us sampled a portion of her song, there’s a difference between sampling and copying (and taking inspiration from other people’s work). psquare copied a lot of people in this song and mixed it all up, thinking nobody will notice, naija artist do that a lot, they copy here and there and mix it all up and think nobody will notice, by the way who gave them permission to sample, you have to pay to get permission.

When you listen to songs released by Psq, it is easy to know the songs written by Paul and Peter. This one is Peter’s song and it has all the trappings of his lifestyle.
An ok video, sounds familiar, unfortunately won’t watch twice.

  20. annie

    August 29, 2014 at 2:04 pm

THANK YOU VERY MUCH P SQUARE! very mature sound. although I would do without the video. very chilled out 80s kinda sounf.. atleast for once its not BUM BUM kinda song! everytime bum bum bum bum wat is it!! God bless you both for just doing something different. mega like. cos im tired of freaking afrobeat everytime

  21. Bella

    August 29, 2014 at 2:07 pm

Ok they definitely sampled this beat from somewhere. Can any one please shed some light? I love me some TI, no auto tune there, boy is real as they come but its a different tune and vibe from the wedding beats we are so used to from PS. So my fellow Naija peeps, will either dig it or loathe it. I just need to find out where they sampled the beat from then I’ll see if I like am.

  22. HHH

    August 29, 2014 at 2:15 pm

    love it!!!

  23. mark

    August 29, 2014 at 2:18 pm

Some Nigerians wont like anything ..their own is to condemn other peoples effort ..P Square is more a global artist.. their songs must not always carry Nigerian regular type of music .. if you dont like it dont listen others will do … No wonder Nigeria is d way it is .. they condemn than build

  24. Sonaodafen

    August 29, 2014 at 2:20 pm

If you look at today’s date, you’d see it’s MJ’s bday… This is just a way of honouring Michael that’s all. The chorus takes us back to the 70s. It’s like fusing Cool and the Gang and MJ into one. I think that’s what they are trying to do. That’s why it’s not so special but if you love some old school you’d appreciate it. Besides, since Bankys RnBW, this is the most different thing I’ve seen come from an artist or group in Nigeria. It’s not like anything in Nigeria at the moment with the Afro pop. To me they are just showing us why they are WINNING. BY being very different. You can not deny that they do stand out from the multitude of artists in Nigeria.

  25. pachie

    August 29, 2014 at 2:20 pm

    Love it

  26. Ade

    August 29, 2014 at 2:22 pm

One of the reasons why I really love Psquare is that they aren’t scared of pushing the boat out. I have listened to this song 5 times within the last 30mins and I absolutely love it. Maybe it helps that I was born in the late 70s and I love me some disco. To try something different from the Afrobeat sound thats becoming a bit dated. The only downside for me is the video which I think should have payed some form of homage to the era that inspired the sound. To all those who think this song is shit, just one word for all of you. You wouldnt appreciate great music even if it hit you in the backside. Maybe I’m just too old sha 🙂

    • Sonaodafen

      August 29, 2014 at 2:45 pm

Nope you are not too old but you are very correct in my opinion

    • OHN

      August 29, 2014 at 5:30 pm

He sure pushed the boat into the ocean and capsized to end up in the bottom of the ocean.

  27. mark

    August 29, 2014 at 2:23 pm

Super standard no much pigin English…Nigerians most learn to be diverse is music ..

  28. Yinka

    August 29, 2014 at 2:33 pm

I like the video but I feel it was devoid of the usual chemistry we are used to between the both of them. I seriously hope they work out their issues.

    • Uche

      August 29, 2014 at 4:12 pm

You are soooo on point………no Chemistry… and i missed it…..

  29. Maz Isaiah

    August 29, 2014 at 2:34 pm

Nice Video, however they have copied an 80s beat and tweaked the lyrics. I hope they have sought permission to copy another artist song. TI only rapped which clearly exonerate him is the issue of copy right starts. They are better off with their on originality.

  30. mamamia

    August 29, 2014 at 2:37 pm

So, we pay international artistes to be on our track but never get nominated for an international award and I do not mean those African artiste of the year awards they give on BET or MTV. I mean real awards like pop, r&b or reggae categories alongside the likes of Usher, Chris brown,Rihanna or Beyoncé.

  31. obi

    August 29, 2014 at 2:41 pm

Nice Video but won’t really watch twice. Even tho Usher wanna tried in this, but I still give more credit to Paul. I love his vocals more.

    August 29, 2014 at 2:44 pm

people can never be satisfied, we say every song coming out of naija sounds thesame. now you got something different and refreshing, you complain. ENEMIES OF PROGRESS. WELL DONE P-SQUARE

Dear bellanaija, i want to ask that you have a TV show where its strictly called ‘Air your views’ because the people on this platform are serious major critics…. I am always laughing hard here.

    August 29, 2014 at 3:39 pm

Very nice video and song. Different take .
    good luck. Much success

  40. uju

    August 29, 2014 at 3:41 pm

I actually like the song but not the video. It has a motown vibe to it, not your regular ti kpa ti kpa music, however i did not appreciate the T.I. feature. It added nothing for me. It seems like his feature was an afterthought, coupled with his lackadaisical attitude in the video.

Looks like the video was shot at Escape but T.I’s was probably shot in the US. Good effort though 6/10

    • Ezyp

      August 29, 2014 at 8:38 pm

seems u dont like RAP T.I has the best part in this song

    • Masjnr

      August 30, 2014 at 12:53 pm

Well I guess T.I’s part was short in his home twn ATL cos he doesn’t have acess to travel out yet based on his legal issues. You remember wen he missed out a performance of “jewels and drugs” by Lady Gaga in london? Dats same tin happenin here. But hey give d southern man credit, his flow was decent

  46. bruno

    August 29, 2014 at 5:09 pm

Pls can all you people shut up, I know what sampling is,there’s a difference between sampling and copying. psquare copied a lot of people in this song and mixed it all up, thinking nobody will notice, naija artist do that a lot, they copy here and there and mix it all up and think nobody will notice, I don’t even like/listen to nigerian songs, by the way who gave them permission to sample, do they have the money to get permission.

    August 29, 2014 at 5:10 pm

What is all the hullabaloo about? It was a nice feel good song and a good video as well.

  48. From Cambridgeshire

    August 29, 2014 at 5:21 pm

Nice, yeah its sampled but as long as its done legally & no copyright issues. My only problem is the autotune. Paul is the singer abi? He’s got a great voice and could have done without the autotune. Overall great job guys:)

  49. bruno

    August 29, 2014 at 5:23 pm

Nigerians love and celebrate mediocrity, someone points out the problem and u people label the person a hater and a troll, na una sabi.

i like the beat. maybe if someone else sang it, i would love it. the video is shit though (it doesn’t go with the beat or feel of the song), and i usually love clarence peters, but jude okoye didn’t do a good job as a director.

  59. Lala

    August 30, 2014 at 11:07 am

Guys please, take a chill pill or eat some fresh fruit or something. Soooo they sample some other brain cell destroying lyrics to create their jam. In my book that’s being creative and innovative. If my booty can jam to Niggsa in Paris – and what the hell was dat all about ? my booty is def twerking to this jam. Some of you guys make me laugh with your sanctimonious bull crap, who died and made you guys connoisseur of fine music. As if you’d recognise. Go practice your analytical skills on choplin chromatic scales or morzat, the Times New York is just dying to hear from you. And child Mediocre is when you don’t realise you are swimming in the same mediocre musical cess pool as the other poo natives. And yes you are entitled to your opinions but be honest and just say you HATE the music instead of making up your bullcrap standards to analysis certified time tested bullcrap music. The jam is not deep guys it’s music to Twerk To not think to. HATERS MOVE I dare you to go and nod your intellectual brains to La Traviata or Clair de Lune . Let the rest of us scatter the floor, with peter abi na Paul. Not faking just saying.

    • anon

      August 30, 2014 at 7:55 pm

Thank you it is called being resourceful. they all recycle old bullshit to create new tunes. the point is is it danceable and from were i am twerking it definitely is a 10/10.

    August 31, 2014 at 6:18 am

I liked the song, but I think the video was too casual for the song. They should have gone more old school on the video. They need to switch their video concepts a lot…too much party scenes with ladies all the time. Sometimes I snot need to watch their videos to know what it will be all about. They should hit me up for ideas
