I love the song, but i would be a liar if i said i enjoyed this video.

However these ladies have HUGE potential. There is a MASSIVE gap in the Nigerian industry for them as the only girl group, this track is a hit, but pleaseee Management should get them some movement direction as soon as possible. They are stiff and not fluent with their dance movement, but I believe this can change with training maybe once or twice a week at least!

Come on ladies I’m rooting for you!

We Nigerians are too negative. Here is an opportunity for us to lift up and encourage these young women but instead we are being negative and jealous! They are beautiful and very talented I watched them live at ghana on the park instagram.com/p/rRqyaipL_n/ they killed it and looks sexy while owning the stage, stop being so hateful and support our own!

Giving feedback does not mean someone is jealous or a hater. There is always room for improvement. I believe Janet is not hating but only giving feedback to encourage them to be better than they already are.

The director did a fantastic job, I’m blown away! The quality of this video is supreme and crisp. These babes are seriously trying. They look fresh on the scene and should remain classy and consistent. I’m not sure what all the rubbish comments are about I think some of you have been infected with Ebola virus! Hahaha
Some of you have verbal diarrhea, just chatting nonsense and jealousy for these beautiful juicy babes.
Shiikane are giving the African music scene a run for their money, I’m looking forward to see what they do next.

I agree, this video is epic! I’m confused by the negativity. Some of the comments are just plain stupid. I’m rooting for shiikane I think they are going to do very well

it’s really not so bad (the song) if a little bassy… it’s just that it looks like a parody and you can’t believe they didn’t even think about getting into serious shape and boosting their energy levels before shooting the vid. in fact, at their ages, they shud’ve gone for tons more class and conservatism before unleashing their “sexy diva goddesses” on an unsuspecting world.

  15. LOL

    August 4, 2014 at 10:35 am

Lovely video….after the first act, things picked up. Also the first sister looks pregnant in the first outfit…is she? If she is not and just overweight, then the outfit could have been modified because different shapes and silhouettes fit different body types. The last two girls also have lovely voices not requiring as much autotune…perhaps they should have more airplay and the deeper one doing the bridge or chants….or something..

YES! It’s about time we see the females in the industry are stepping up their game, this is a dope video. Recently saw this group perform at ghana in the park and they nailed it! Very impressive, African females are rising fast. Lola Rae, tiwa savage and yemi Alade and now shiikane are knocking down doors. I can see them being international if they polish up a few things, brilliant effort. I’m a fan! P.s who is behind this group? It looks like plenty of money is behind them, they look like divas.

    August 4, 2014 at 11:25 am

Wo they look so much younger in their promo pic…especially the two blonde ones.
I was not ready for the first girls voice. LAWD have mercy….and i don’t mean that in a good way
I thing the first girl is pregnant
    the hook isn’t bad though

    • Houston Bey

      August 4, 2014 at 11:31 am

stop being silly, she does not look pregnant she looks like a woman with curves, i pity Nigerians you can never say anything nice especially about females artists smh

Beautiful video, shiikane raised the bar with sugakane…. I love the flow of the first curvy lady, her swag is on point! These sisters are killin it!! Overall a great effort and fantastic looking video, so impressed with shiikanes dedication to music. The smaller blond girl is so pretty.

They have the voice especially the third woman. The dancing and their bodies can be improved. I like them. Their expression while dancing…. That sold me. They were comfortable in their own skin. I love their confidence. Well done ladies.

I must also sad that this is the FIRST African female group that looks like they could compete on a international level. I have high hopes for shiikane and sugakane is a smash! Keep reaching for the stars shiikane and make Naija proud

  35. Godwin Wilson

    August 4, 2014 at 4:05 pm

I have watched it again and here is my critique:

    1. Song : I like the lyrical content and melody in the hook. There is enough variation in the song to make it listenable from beginning to end. The main curvy babes flow is sick.
The production is on point and would sound great in a club.

    2. Location: the video was very creative, the location was bright and shot with clean lighting. Very good use of space and not the typical Naija artist warehouse/club rubbish we are used to seeing. The director chose well and kept the camera shots interesting.

    3. Costumes: I like the black costume although the curvy blonde girl needs to reduce small her beauty makes up for any flaws in her physics. They are all beautiful In different ways ( I think the 2 blonde girls are sisters) very sexy and they all have cute smiles and strong thighs 🙂

    4. Performance: I like the fact that they used male dancers to add extra energy and interest to the video. It’s something fresh and new for nigerian female artists. I think they can improve their dancing but that will come in time as they grow an develop as artists. They are singers first and foremost.

    5. Overall I give shiikane a 8/10 for this video. I hope they remain consistent and keep putting out great content. Good luck ladies

    Godwin Da Great!

    August 4, 2014 at 4:10 pm

Ok prince william is definitely an employee of shikane! lol… the song is really cool, there is a problem with the make up and hair still, u just remember the wayan brothers from white chicks and the voice at the very beginning, is that really her voice or she way just lip synching to a males voice???

  37. Changing Faces

    August 4, 2014 at 4:11 pm

I thought the 1st lady was just miming for a guy they featured… there was a disconnect. The dancing was stiff and choreography should have been simpler to suit them. I like the chorus bit, but a lot of work to be done by the girls

  38. HotChocBen

    August 4, 2014 at 4:28 pm

SHIIIKAANEEEEE! Ya’ll are so dope and and can sing!!! keep up the good work ladies, ya’ll are sexy as hell too! Which one can I marry please abeg?? and all the Simon Cowell’s and Fitness Guru’s WHERE IS YOUR VIDEO?? Women will always be hatin on eachothers hustle…

So…..is Beyoncé (35), JLo (44), Tiwa savage (34) and many other females at the top of there game too old to DO THER JOB?! Some of you jobless idiots should think before you speak!
This video is the bomb! I’m So impressed with this group keep it up ladies, ignore those that speak ill of you, jealousy is a disease that many with failed dreams suffer from! Many people regardless of age with they had the courage to follow dreams but are too scared to pursue what makes them happy.
Keep pushing girls, your victory Is coming!

The girls are ok and with a little improvement can get better. Get rid of the first girl cos she ruined the song. The other two girls are very good singers and can make a mark in the industry with the right management. Good luck ladies.

    August 4, 2014 at 7:30 pm

Wow levels have gone UUPPPP!! Evrytin luks on point and how did she get da voice low like dat hahahaaa, all dis tym I thought it was a guy doin it. that is too cool. She is even my favorite lukin like one boss sha, female Dorobucci 😉

I LOVE THIS GROUP!! I have been following shiikane since last year, they are consistently putting out music and videos on a indie label. I’m not sure how they are funding this project but it looks amazing and very professional. The sexy sisters are about to take over the industry raising the game for female artists.
There are still improvements to made but that will come In time, their team is doing a brilliant job considering the first video I saw ‘afurum gi nanya’ :/
they are looking like serious contenders like P square. Keep up the great work sexy señorita’s!! 🙂 banging video and hot track to go with it.

  45. :O

    August 5, 2014 at 5:52 pm

Wasn’t sure about this video at 1st, but with a few replays it’s becoming one of my favorite naija pop video this year. This song is a bop too. Maybe it’s just Bellanaija subscribers, but why do nigerian find the silliest things to hate on? I bet the same people criticising this girl are the same people who complain about the male dominated music industry O.o

  46. BlueEyed

    August 6, 2014 at 9:43 am

All I see is weaves, but good concept here, hope they go far

  47. Undilutedtruth

    August 11, 2014 at 5:36 pm

They need to be honest with themselves…this was my comment on notjustok.com about their video and they started their stupid dumb ranting..People need to be a lot more honest….the first girl who sang shouldn’t lead or be in the middle. I could not help but notice the big belly and stiff dance moves. Their organization is off and the director could have done better. He kept showing the stiff parts. This **** cannot fly in the mainstream world. The other two girls moved quick and better. They took a bold step and showed out but they still have a lot of work to do.
Ps: I hate when people can’t take constructive criticism. Do these girls have any real friends?

    • Dammi

      August 11, 2014 at 11:41 pm

You sound pained… I’m a huge SHiiKANE fan and agree there is room for improvements but I notice the venom in your comment and ‘constructive’ criticism and it sounds a lil personal? :/
Everyone is entitled to have an opinion but you can’t force people to see what you see. Supporting and uplifting is more effective than rudeness and spiteful comments. These girls are talented and on their way to the top of the charts #Teamshiikane

  48. Undilutedtruth

    August 12, 2014 at 9:57 am

What is there to be pained about? This ain’t my video loool if you guys want to continue to embarrass yourselves, then that’s fine. We’re all music lovers, that’s why we come on these websites to listen to your music and give our feedback but don’t make it seem like ppl are doing something wrong for telling you the truth cause after all the rant on my comment on notjustok.com, I came on bellanaija and I saw that everyone else was saying the same thing and even WORSE so what venom are you talking about? Okay Shiikane….sometimes the truth hurts. Just learn how to take criticism and keep it moving. I only said what everyone else was thinking including YOU. Obviously you all are not ready for this industry. My statement was the undiluted truth and that does not mean you’re not talented, I’m just pointing out the obvious unnecessary mistakes in the Video. C’mon ladies, stop with all these weak replies, take note and improve yourselves. You can do better.
