Whilst I believe entertainers shouldn’t really venture into politics, there are some exceptions.

She is so right, pls know their past and background, example james ibori, he was arrested for stealing in the UK, nobody did any background checks on him, and he eventually became a governor and stole billions.(Nigerians still celebrate him today and call him a hero, even tho he is serving 12 years in prison for fraud, this is to show u how majority of nigerians think). SHAmeful.

Hunnay, please don’t let sentiments cloud your judgement. Just let “them” do their thing; it’s up to us to discern and vote ok

Thats why i always say if you want to walk out of people’s lives, LEAVE WITH A GOOD RECORD…. don’t leave on a BAD note because an Ex can destroy your life in the future…….Always try not to burn bridges because you never know when and how an EX will catch up with you in the future and FINISH YOU!!!!!

Mend you ways in every past relationship uve had. Even if its to BEG and roll on the floor, do that now because you dont know what the future has in for you.
Exs are always powerful…….The same way Oscar Pistorius Ex testified negatively against him.
Always leave on a good note and never give room for an EX to point fingers at you in the future!!!! The innocent girl/Guy you hurt today can finish you up in the future. ALWAYS MEND YOUR WAYS.

Thank you! The Ramsey path was totally uncalled for. He is one of the few professional and decent ones.

I’ve always loved Toni Payne, she has a good head on her shoulder. I don’t know about her political views, but in a way she is right. A man that does not know how to deal with his domestic affairs might not be able to handle the issues of a community well. Not a good candidate for politics. Charity begins at home.

As a ‘public figure” her last tweet suggests encouraging citizens not to vote “cos its a waste of vote” is very wrong. Its our right and we should ALWAYS exercise it.

      September 13, 2014 at 9:08 am

I don’t believe this has anything to do with bitterness. She’s stating a fact that has crossed a number of people’s minds already. Plus she might have used Ramsey’s name as a neutral factor to illustrate her point since he isn’t running for a political office. If she used an actor/actress who was already running for an office then it would most likely be deemed a direct insult.

I don’t think this was necessary, it’ll only get people talking about their marriage drama again which neither party needs. Whatever happened between them I think it’s best to let all the bitterness go. The guy is trying to move on with his life and there’s no need to pour sand in his garri. The voters have brains and this speech wasn’t necessary.

I totally agree with her. I wish she had the nerve to call out exactly who she had in mind without bringing Ramsey Noah’s name into it, since he himself is not running for office. By the way, is 9ice paying child support for the children he has by different women? A man’s character should always come into question when running for public office and a real man takes care of his children.

Toni PaynePayne is not bitter. When 9ice had an issue with bloggers over his album, she spoke up for him. most of us don’t support these artists going into politics but Toni is being labelled a bitter ex for her own opinion?

He is Nigerian, he is qualified to run for what ever position if he so desires . Marriage has nothing to do with your ability to contest an election. How many so called politicians have a stable marriage..if you will all pardon my definition of what is stable and what is not. Most of our so called politicians have 4, 5 and more wives, never has that been a criteria to stop them from contesting…If a marriage does not work…it does not work sekina!! her comment was unnecessary in my opinion.

@ agba llu; you are wrong. Charity is said begins @ home. So if you are not good @ the home front, you most probably won’t make a good leader. As you said most of our politicians don’t have a stable home and that’s same reason Nigeria hasn’t got it right. We must not let it continue that way. Yes, it is necessary to check into the personality we vote as our leaders, only then will Nigeria be better.

I don’t think she is hating , her views may not always be correct but she does try to be objective. In this instance she is quite correct. And it’s a principle that should apply to every aspirant, regardless of their orientation. You cant put a cart before a horse – except in Nigerian politics apparently. Also I don’t think she was trying to disparage Ramsey Nouah, probably just used him as a reference to a charismatic, good looking man in the entertainment business.
