it is my deepest prayer that one day we women would look at and understand our bodies before following ‘fashion trends’… look at the ridges on those (nyra) thighs.

    • Nina

      December 27, 2014 at 10:18 pm

What about the layers of cellulite

    • TrainedActress

      April 8, 2015 at 5:03 pm

Oooh that shade, you just served the Amazon right now. LOL. But for real though, what the heck was she thinking. People need to know their bodies and the event they are going to. She was looking liked the opening act for some poorly produced burlesque show.

I have a proposal, this may already be in application but I believe it is high time a lot of these red carpet regulars consider using the same makeup/concealer/ foundation used on their face to cover up their blemished legs. Not only does it cover up the blemishes but it will serve to ‘hide’ the varying shades of skin tone due or not due to bleaching -while on that note, DJ Cuppy needs to fire her MUA.

It’s called blishhing thank you very much

      December 29, 2014 at 5:15 pm

Thank you. Finally. Can I just say naija women need to stop with the breachng. Seriously girls. See somkele’s skin. That is beautiful. Be beautiful. This bleacj thing just dey look like ashawo business. All of them. If its not horrible cottage cheese legs its mismatched skin colour. Na wah ooh. It just makes the spots on their legs even more pronounced. Please embrace your skjn colour. Black wont kill you. Every time I see these pics I just cringe at the legs. Naija girls have worst legs in africa

  3. zee

    December 24, 2014 at 12:08 pm

why is emma nyra dressed like that??
she should probably get her legs toned up if he wants to show them that much 😐
so many wrinkled clothes, i know phcn isn’t our friend in lagos but if you have money to buy mmr ticket, you defs have enough to get your clothes ironed 😐

  4. Jay

    December 24, 2014 at 12:20 pm

Do I spot a fake balmain dress? First it was Elise now Toyin?

    • Surely

      December 24, 2014 at 12:34 pm

But Toyin is fake connoisseur now…

    • Bobo

      December 24, 2014 at 12:57 pm

lolest! Yea u did. Well, lets say its Balmain inspired.. However, she looks very nice in it tho.

Stephanie Coker looks funny nd Emma nyra how did any1 let u go out wit dat dress..

  6. lynn

    December 24, 2014 at 12:29 pm

wow…ok a lot going on…gonna take me a while to digest and comprehend….the main things which stand out are the following:

best dressed: Kunbi Oyelesi, Jibola Ajimobi

most improved: Liz Yemoja, Aisha Shabba

    trying too hard: Abisola Ajimobi

always puts in a good effort but never quite gets it right: Gbemi OO

Gettting too old for this Shiz: Musa and Caroline Danjuma

Over-exposed: Emma Nyra (we all have cellulite but must yours be on display?!)

Recycler of Bridesmaid dress: Lillian Unachukwu

Worst dressed: all the girls with the slits

Bow leg of life: Noble Igwe

  7. bruno

    December 24, 2014 at 12:35 pm

emma nyra, that is not a dress, that is a shirt. with all ur cellulite, u decided to leave the house like that. you and eku are the worst dressed female naija celebs of 2014. u beta sack your stylists.

toyin lawani, I cant tell if her dress is original or fake. reminds me of the balmain dress kim kardashian wore.

dakore why so matron.u look like a first lady (that was not a compliment).

as for the guys, denola grey. always so over dressed, alway wearing the same thing, bow tie ,blazer and ‘waist cincher”. its too much. its a music fashion event not the president’s ball. you’re still bae no2.

toke is the best dressed, that over exaggerated peplum dress with those nude pumps are giving us life. she looks expensive, she looks appropriate. this is one of her best looks this year.

  8. Stella B

    December 24, 2014 at 12:48 pm

Emma Nyra WHYYYYY!!! The front view of your dress was bad enough but then you had the guts to show the world your terrible lumpy thighs!
Is your stylist blind? You look a mess! Please Hit the gym before attempting this kind of outfit again. Sexiness is not by force, try covering I for once!

  9. naana

  10. Wonderwoman

    December 24, 2014 at 1:09 pm

Everyone looks good! Some bringing the slayage more than others but I don’t think I’ve seen an event where almost everyone looked this GOOD. Even Toyin Lawani and her treacherous chest art are fully clothed, won’t my Jesus do it. I love seeing Dakore and her husband out together, such an attractive couple. And Fade looks so simple yet amazing, she’s finally learning what works for her it seems, love it. As for Emma Nyra, we need to start cutting women and their bodies some slack please, yes she probably could have worn something that didn’t expose that particulalrly not so flawless part of her body but I just cannot understand why people act so appalled, especially women, at things that mirror honestly what the majority’s bodies look like. Just because you’re not sculpted and cut like Beyonce does not mean you will not wear cloth abeg, Then tomorrow the same women will grumble about ridiculous standards being set for us when we push these standards ourselves, wrinkling our noses at everything that is less than perfect. Excuse my mini-dissertation.

Sorry oo.. The first one, is she still in her husband’s house? Just asking ni as the rate of the “I mus t show myself” has increased to the nth degree.

    • Some nigerians are backwards

      December 25, 2014 at 2:01 am

You sound really basic right now. because she is more visible now means she’s no longer in her husbands house? about the fact that she has a fashion business to promote??

    • corolla

  17. Dee

    December 24, 2014 at 2:29 pm

Normally we complain about the woman going naked but this time I want to complain about the men. Why are their shirts open mid way when you’re not a construction worker? Even the married man Dakore’s husband! We are always quick to point out inappropriate attire for married women but we need to start talking about the married men too

  18. Joy

    December 24, 2014 at 2:52 pm

Toyin you are wicked for giving Emma that stupid dress .stylist my ass how can you dress up someone’s child like that ?aka fake channel fake Balmain give us a break

    December 24, 2014 at 3:03 pm

Oh my word… @BN you really out did yourselves with this one. One segment missing though, the outrageous. Yes we like the good, the pretty, the sexy and the likes, but the outrageous will make us comment as well. In all it was a good outing, i love the sheer and lacy delight, the ladies didnt look offensive and carried it off pretty well.

  21. Zee

    December 24, 2014 at 3:07 pm

Ok no diss from me this merry season but can most of these ladies take care of their legs??? Y’all spend tons of money on facial care and clothes and just leave out the legs…well, God has caught up with you! 😛

  24. some thoughts

    December 24, 2014 at 4:22 pm

Bella Naija seriously needs a “fashion police” columnist to start rating styles and calling out people with bad fashion sense, awful fashion trends, and so-called celebs spotting fakes. We need someone with a sharp tongue that can tell it like it is and save our collective sights from some iranu (nonsense) I see people wearing. Please no smeh-smeh person abeg. For starters, I nominate Bruno or anybody else. Spice this thing up, will ya?

  25. Yemi

    December 24, 2014 at 4:24 pm

Man so many no-no’s here! I know everyone has already crucified Emma so I’m not gonna waste my text characters on that. To me the lady with the beige wrap dress with the thigh high slit would’ve been the best dressed buy then she had to wear sandals. Really?? I was so mad at that. Lol! And some of these men though…I just can’t.

  30. khaleesi

    December 24, 2014 at 6:34 pm

Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi: looks 40 years old

Emma Nyra: a mess for that outfit. she’s gained a lot of weight but still thinks she’s a size 6

Carolien Danjuma: her appearance here proves one thing…shes uses body majic and a lot of filter when she posts pics on social media. she looks rough and like someone who just had a 3 third baby (which is expected/understandable). on instagram, she looks like a supermodel who had dropped all the baby weight days after giving birth **shrug**

    • Girlie o

      December 24, 2014 at 10:14 pm
