Abike Dabiri-Erewa Congratulates Ekeh for his Academic Prowess in the US

Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on the Diaspora, has congratulated Harold Ekeh for gaining admission into 8  Ivy League schools in the United State at the same time’’.

Ekeh, a 17-year- old Nigerian had been admitted into eight schools rated as the best in the US.

Dabiri-Erewa made the commendation in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), on Tuesday in Abuja.

“It is a remarkable achievement; it is always a thing of joy to learn of success stories of Nigerians in the diaspora,” she said.

She also expressed satisfaction that millions of Nigerians were excelling in various fields abroad; adding that Nigeria’s greatest asset was its human resources.

“I am proud of Ekeh’s accomplishments and it is high  time Nigeria taps into  the enormous talents and successes of Nigerians in the diaspora for national development.”

The legislator wished Ekeh the best as he decided on which among the eight ivy league schools he would choose to fulfill  his  dream of  becoming a medical doctor.

The statement noted that Ekeh was the founder of a mentoring programme in his school, Elmont Memorial  High School, Long  Island in New York City suburbs.
