How Do You Tell You’re Beautiful If You Can’t See? Watch Dove’s Inspiring “Choose Beautiful” Campaign Video

As a part of Dove‘s “Choose Beautiful” campaign, they asked 3 Swedish women to share their views on beauty. Nothing innovative right? Well, the catch here is the 3 women are blind.

One of the participants, Anna Bergholtz who had been blind for almost 13 years, said – “For a long period after I became blind, I automatically checked myself in the mirror. As if it was second nature.” “And it took a very long time before I stopped doing that.“

Other women expressed how they used to care about their image when they were teenagers. But as they grew older those insecurities grew less important. One said – “As I’m approaching 40, I pay more attention to all the beautiful people around me.” And the other said – “When it feels as if I’m in the right place, doing the right things, meaningful things, I automatically feel beautiful.“

So inspiring! And that leaves us with the question, “Would you describe yourself as beautiful?“
