Through “Fight and Play, Laugh and Cry” Ali Baba Celebrates wife Mary on their 9th Anniversary!

Ali Baba Mary wife April 2015Mary Akpobome and Ali Baba‘s love story is a long and beautiful one.

They met at a bank when he went to open an account. She was the banker and he was the customer. Then they had a baby together.

Things didn’t work out for a while, but then they re-united, got married in 2006, and have been enjoying life as a blended family ever since.

The comedian shared this sweet message to his banker wife on his Instagram page and has been posting their photos on Twitter all morning.

“Happy Wedding Anniversary to us… It’s been a story of both ends… Sadness and joy, rich and poor, yes and no, here and there, fight and play, this and that, laugh and cry, hope and despair, high and low, yours and mine, plenty and scarce, friends and foes, we and them, good and bad… But here and now… We are still here forever and ever.”

Happy anniversary!

Happy anniversary to Ali Baba and Mary B.

Not to detract from the anniversary joy but I thought they met in the bank, had an affair while he was still married to Patricia Leon (spp?) and she was working in the bank.

I think he met Mary and she had a baby, then he left her to marry Patricia Leon. The marriage didn’t work out and he went back to Mary.

Iyeyemi & Anon, the way you guys open people’s yansh like this, may God also open your own yansh in public. You can’t look and just simply say God bless their marriage. You must come here and tarnish the image they have obviously worked hard to maintain. Majority of the people here don’t know about their personal life etc and you just had to come and spill.

The public shall know your secrets too by God’s grace. #KMT

Some people are just curious. Even the celebrants alluded to it, and I don’t think they meant it in a bad way

I just realized something. If you guys got together, had a kid, and it didn’t work out, then you went your separate ways (met & married other people) and still came back together…..then why in the world does he write about “how to keep a man”. Sahn!!!!! What in the fu-ery???? Is that supposed to be a continuous jab at your ex? Why not write about your love? Wouldn’t that be better? I mean, let’s truly analyze this thing. You guys found each other, left and met other people, and STILL came back together. And you have a blended family. And rather than share that happiness and story of (I guess) fighting for your love, or pursuing your happiness…na so so runz babe matter you dey on.

Dudddeeeee…you could be doing so much more with your influence. There are many Nigerians with blended families: step brothers, step sisters, step mothers, step fathers. For all his talk, I assumed he was jilted or not kept…definitely not this.
