Blessing Okagbare Wins Gold Medal at 2015 Diamond League Race in China
Nigerian sprint champion, Blessing Okagbare stays slaying on the tracks!
She won the Shanghai leg of the 2015 Diamond League Race yesterday, ThisDay reports.
Sources say Okagbere’s win was effortless, as she beating last year’s world leader, Tori Bowie.
“My race was pretty good,” Okagbare said after the race. “It is not easy to compete with the best of the world – but I won. I focused on my start. Normally I don’t have the best start, but now I was leading from the beginning,” she said.
Congrats to Blessing!

The Nigerian Media may not give you the encouragement you need, but please know many of us are so proud of you. Hopefully one day my daughter gets to meet you. Then I’ll be the coolest Mum in the world. haha

I really hope Nigeria put the money and training into Blessing that she deserves. She’s an amazing athlete, it would be a shame for her to not reach her full potential, or even have to resort to representing another country with better funding.
