Liberia Battles Spreading Ebola Epidemic

Two new cases of Ebola have emerged in Freetown, Sierra Leone weeks after the city was thought to be Ebola-free.

Health officials in the country have expressed fears that there could be further infections, as the cases emerged in a densely populated slum, BBC reports.

Their concerns are valid, as all Ebola quarantine facilities in Freetown had been closed.

reasons for this is not just complacency and poor hygiene attitude but politics.
why must government act partial in quarantining affected district in such a deadly situation? when its was Kailahun and Kenema in the east of the country (Sierra Leone) government was quick to quarantined them because the districts are not part of their political-strong hold but when it is now Port Loko and Kambia in the north, government is still resisting to quarantined because it is their political-strong hold.
as long as Port Loko and Kambia are still recording confirm Ebola cases, Freetown is not safe because these districts are not just very close but the closest to Freetown.
hope ECOWAS will soon start to be hard on members states that are still unable to end the outbreak.
