When we heard Bonang Matheba was hosting the Future Awards Africa 2015, we could not wait to see what she would be wearing. The South African media personality is a certified style icon and she definitely did not disappoint on the day.

Bonang’s styling was by Latasha Ngwube.

Let’s go there!

Look 1 – On the Red Carpet – Dress by Gert Johan Coetzee
Bonang’s favourite designer did not let her down. This look was perfect for the red carpet. Very regal.

Look 2 – On Stage – Lanre DaSilva Ajayi for Vlisco
Definitely great to see the Ankara connection from Vlisco’s Splendeur collection as interpreted by LDA.

I think she is always singing in her head the beyonce song

    “am feeling ma self
    am feeling ma self
    am feeling ma
    am feeling ma self
    am feeling ma self

      Are you Zinhle in disguise?

But she doesn’t have to be Zinhle, Tari. That’s a petty and unnecessary comment. Go on Twitter, many South African girls say the exact same thing about her, even guys so Felinda doesn’t have to be Zinhle. They slander her so much in SA the way Toke Makinwa gets her’s in Nigeria. That’s how people cook up pointless drama.

Why must she be reduced to her association with men? What if she “steals” people’s men for fun because she can? Who said she wanted to keep a man?
Please, stop defining a woman’s worth by any association with men.

I think it is d other way round, it is the men who cannot keep up with her, she exudes so much class and confidence and definitely has a very high self esteem. We must not believe everything we read on social media cos they are usually watered down to suit the readers. Bonang has definitely hyped herself to a superstar status and she is their Genny or Rita over there and now I’m begining to see why…

If you see her in person, I mean without airbrush/photoshop, her face strong no be small like omo alata abi na aje pako proper. She’s not so nice without make-up too. I love her sense of fashion though and her banging body.

This woman has a great sense of style and clearly she has achieved a lot for heself to get to where she is now, that is what she is meant to be defined by if we are indeed doing that!! NOT because of a man, keeping one, wanting one or stealing one. Haba!! are we not humans again till we all have a man? I tire no be small. She looks beautiful and she dresses well for her body type, well done, can we not just give credit where its due!

i still dont get what the appeal is, she isnt drop dead gorg, she looks basic n without the makeup she looks like a pass, so what’s the appeal and attention? anyways when you have that IT factor you have it, irrespective of how you look.
