BN Collection to Closet: Toke Makinwa in Lisa Folawiyo

Hey fashion lovers!

We have another edition of BN Collection to Closet – the style feature where we show love to our African fashion designers by shining a light on those who #BuyAfrican.

Today we are having some fashion fun with media personality Toke Makinwa in Nigerian fashion brand – Lisa Folawiyo.

We just can’t help but love Nigerian womenswear brand, Lisa Folaiwyo.

Lisa Folawiyo definitely has pieces that are hard to miss. The fashion brand has been giving us year after year of fashion perfection that has caught the eye of international brands, celebrities and publications. She is without a doubt one of the biggest names in African fashion…and is showing no signs of slowing down.

While hosting the Moments Nigeria show with other fabulous ladies, Toke Makinwa was styled by Rhoda Ebun in a fabulous piece from the brand’s Autumn/Winter 2015 collection.

toke’s style of dressing bores me to tears.
the dress is shapeless, it makes her waist look wider. not very flattering.

Quite ironic that you’re using Lisa Folawiyo as part of your #BuyAfrican push when the woman herself hardly wears her own brand tsk tsk

Ahn ahn that is not true. She mixes and matches her brand with other ready made brands. Lisa Folawiyo wears her own brand well well. 🙂
