English Footballer Adam Johnson Convicted for Sexual Acts with a Minor says Seeing his Daughter is the “only way” he’s Going to Survive his Sentence

Adam Johnson, ex-Sunderland midfielder who was sentenced to serve a 6-year jail term for grooming and kissing a 15-year old fan, has said that seeing his 14-month old daughter Ayla is the “only way” he’s going to survive his sentence.

According to Daily Star Johnson’s ex-partner and babymama Stacey Flounders, 26, who testified against him during his trial has said she will visit him in prison, but not sure if she’ll take her daughter

Daily Star also reports that a friend of the footballer said, “Even before he went inside he had begged Stacey that he wants to see her. He has now called her and said he needs a visit and to see his daughter because of the grimness of prison life. He told her it’s the only way he’ll be able to survive the sentence and will give him hope during his appeal. He’s a bit in despair and needs something to look forward to and focus on.”

It was also reported that Johnson is appealing against his conviction and sentence.
