An anonymous BN reader who is a University of Lagos student, sent in the news this morning of the “wickedness” some students are currently facing from the leadership of the school as regards their accommodation.
It will be recalled that the school management shut down the school following protests by students decrying fuel scarcity and its accompanying increase in cost of living. Click here if you missed it
The Management later reopened the school, but with strict conditions. It said that students must obtain clearance from their departments before they would be allowed into the Halls of residence. The were also to sign a re-absorption oath, and parents/guardians were required to sign an Indemnity form. Click here to see it

Good morning, I’m a student of Unilag who has been put in a cage and stripped of my Right to life which is an extension of the Right to education and good living conditions.
It’s as though we’re animals or worst still slaves. What have we done wrong? Students are no longer safe, no priority is placed on our security. I truly fear for what the future may hold. A school that would let their students sleep outside, open to all vices of nature.
This is getting too much. Please, please and please, give us a mouth and a platform. Write about this inhumane act, sound the gong for nations to see what’s going on within the walls of the so called “Nations Pride”.
Are we supposed to start exams on Monday when people who were squatting aren’t even allowed in to pick their books?!
