President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed sympathy with Italy over the deadly earthquake that claimed nearly 250 lives in the central parts of the country.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Thursday by Garba Shehu, the president’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Buhari said the government and the people of Nigeria shared the grief of Italian citizens over the disaster.

“My heart and prayers go out to the people of Italy at this time of national mourning, caused by the devastating earthquake. President Buhari told the Italian Prime Minister, Matteo Renzi, that his family, the government and the people of Nigeria shared the grief of Italian citizens over this deadly natural disaster,” Garba said.

The President prayed to God to comfort the families of the victims and grant them the fortitude to overcome their grief at this emotionally challenging time.

    Sai baba!!!
God will also reward those who saw your antecedents and still brought you to power.

Just today, fulani herdsmen attacked a village in Enugu State and unleaahed mayhem. They slaughtered a pregnant woman. A PREGNANT WOMAN! They also killed a couple of others. A good president would issue a statement of condemnation, assure the people of the government’s reslove to apprehend the perpetrators, and forestall future attacks. A good president would go to the scene of violence and see things for himself. Buhari has done non of these things. This man is a bigot, a tribalist and an islamist and he makes no pretence about it.
