#Rio2016: Nigeria Cruises to Semifinals of Men’s Football | Watch the goals from Mikel and Aminu Umar

Nigeria’s U-23 team, Dream Team VI has qualified for the semifinals of #Rio2016 Olympic games after beating Denmark 2-0 in the second quarterfinal game on Saturday night.

The 16th minute goal by the team’s captain, Mikel Obi put Nigeria in the lead.

Aminu Umar put the Dream Team ahead by two goals with his 59th minute header.

With this win, the Dream Team cruises to the semifinals to face Germany next Wednesday.

    I don’t understand. U-23? How old is mikel Obi?

      Under 23 actually means minimum age of 23 lol. Just like U-17… you don’t actually see 14,15 year olds playing.

      Dud answer Cindy. That doesn’t answer the Mikel question and it’s a maximum age of 23.

      You are allowed 3 over-aged players.

    All but 3 players have to be under 23. The rules allow for 3 “senior” members to participate.

    @ Anon and Dee USA,you guys actually answered the question.However I am here to express my joy on the victory of the U-23 Dream Team today,the team under the leadership of Obi Mikel is doing great.In line Adio-Braimoh I wish the Dream Team nothing less than the gold medal.
