Watch Highlights from late Ooni of Ife, Oba Sijuwade’s Memorial Service
The one year memorial service in honour of the 50th Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade Olubuse II took place at St. Paul’s Church, Ile-Ife, Osun state.
The late Ooni passed on at Saint Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London, United Kingdom on July 28 2015, aged 85.
Gathered to celebrate the life and legacy of the late monarch were former Head of State, Gen. Yakubu Gowon, Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi and his Olori, Wuraola, Obi of Onitsha, HRM Nnaemeka Achebe, Senator Babajide Omoworare, Bode George, Adekunle Ojora and his wife Ojuolape, deputy governor of Osun state, Titilayo Laoye-Tomori, wife of former vice president, Titi Abubakar among others.
Guests were treated to a reception at Castle of Mercy, Ede Road, Ile-Ife after the thanksgiving service.
