Arrest of Cow in EkitiGovernor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has demonstrated his seriousness to the state’s Anti-Grazing law by arresting a cow in Ikole Ekiti on Wednesday.

According to a statement by his Special Assistant on New Media and Public Communications, Lere Olayinka:

As Governor Fayose was going to Ikole Ekiti today, he came across herdsmen along Afao Ekiti road, Ado Ekiti.

The governor demonstrated the seriousness of the State Anti Grazing Law by personally seeing to it that one of the Cows was “arrested” by youths who chased the cows after the herdsmen ran into the bush upon seeing the governor’s security men. The remaining cows ran into the bush too.

Ekiti Grazing Enforcement Marshall (EGEM) will start work in few days time.

It seems the Ekiti NPF are useless to their headquarters. These cows and their herdsmen has been causing violence to accident. Nothing they can offer to it effect. Before violence happens, there are signs.

    Thumbs up man!

Like why chase after corrupt officials when you can chase after cows. (At least the cows can’t get a lawyer)

Be careful man. They can value those cows more than human life……and they always they strike back, or try to if you are not wary.

No, Fayose is not petty. These herdsman were in Ikole LGA some month ago and butchered some villagers, hence the ban. Tolerate them and you have a repetition of the massacre

Seriously, the herdmen ran into the bush upon sighting the Governor’s convoy, followed by their cows, it seems the fear of the governor is the beginning of wisdom, but the cow that was caught, that one should lead the governor to where the rest are, abi na that cow will be made a ‘scapecow’?

So Fayose went to snap pictures in front of the cows cause I didn’t see the youth there. I guess they are snapping the governor and his security at his back. So they gave the youth one cow to snap with cause the cow is even smaller than the ones Fayose took picture with. Naija4show
