“Somebody/Some people need to be fired” – 2Baba on Non-Payment of Super Falcons’ Allowances



2babaAce musician, 2Baba has called out “all tiers of government that have turned a blind eye” on the issue of non-payment of allowances and bonuses of the Super Falcons.

The Super Falcons arrived Nigeria from Cameroon on December 4th after clinching the African Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) for a record 8th time.

2Baba took to Instagram to voice out his anger:

Some people have been collecting outrageous salaries and allowances 4 doing nothing meanwhile these patriotic Nigerian girls have done us proud over and over and over and someone or some people feel say na their mouth money sweet pass or needs their money more than them. Shame on all tiers of government that have turned a blind eye on this issue. Somebody/some people need to be fired because of this heartless disgraceful act. #superfalcons#africanchampions deserve better#payoursportsheroes

    This is just heart breaking i swear… This gals pour their hearts and sweat in order to see that we come out victorious and this is how they are been treated…. I hate my country with passion and that is fact…

    #Word! This along with all the monies owed to all athletes of all kinds, civil servants, pensioners and what not! We demand that dey be paid in the said 2 days. Where’s the NLC when we need them abi sports no fall under labour ni?

    Guys, let’s get specific. It’s not enough to throw out a blanket statement. Who specifically needs to feel the brunt of your anger. And don’t mention the Minister, he himself doesn’t know.
