BN Red Carpet Fab: 2017 Golden Globe Awards
The 2017 Golden Globe Awards was held on Sunday, January 8, 2016 to honor the best in film and American television of 2016. The highly-anticipated event was held at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.
Actor and talk-show host Jimmy Fallon was the host of the ceremony and Meryl Streep was the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award honoree.
La La Land won all seven awards it was nominated for, becoming the most winning film in Golden Globe Awards history and sixth over all to win each award, including Best Director, Best Screenplay for Damien Chazelle and Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. The only second winning film Elle also won two awards it was nominated for, while The Night Manager, Atlanta, The Crown and The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story were among the television shows that received multiple awards.
