@adaezeigboji : #ChinenyeEzeliora (my tailor) and I have been on for about 8years. It feels like we are related some how but we aren’t .. sometimes we fight, the other times we are together staring at fabrics and sketching. The first dress she made for me was my prom dress and one thing I remembered about that time was that I couldn’t fit that dress because I had to leave quickly. When I got home and wore that dress , my parents and brothers said I looked simply dope! You see this doesn’t usually happen.. my brothers and parents hardly agree, especially if it’s about my fashion.. Everything was perfect.. my confidence was . Chinenye and I sit down for minutes, sometimes hours drawing and deliberating on styles..other times I sit to watch her actually sew my dresses. The interesting thing about our sessions is that we never get tired or upset. We sometimes stop because she needs to attend to other costumers or I need to leave. She understands how I want my outfits; From neatly hiding the hems of my clothes to beautifully arranging the patterns on my fabric; From sending me pictures of my dress in progress to picking perfect colors in situations where I ll have to combine other materials ; From sending my clothes via courier to delivering outfits that fit like a glove ; and to even making sure I slay decently with little jewelry. Every time I wear a dress from Chinenye I get really beautiful compliments from friends but most interestingly from lovely strangers who make me stand in front of so many people to get a picture of my dress(es). I left my state to Abuja for work for almost 3 years now and Chinenye still brings my drawings and imaginations to life, effortlessly.. Amusingly, people go to her with my pictures asking if she could make something similar for them, often times with no knowledge that she actually made them (since I stay in Abuja). Instagram media by ms_futur – #orijinalasoebibella #Liveeorijinal My tailor @wj_signature is the best at what he does!tho I bring my styles but he gives me results beyond my expectation!everyone that know me well knows I’m a last minute person and this also applies to when I give my tailor fabrics to make nice outfits for me!its always 2/3 day before the Owanbe party ??but Mr Wale will never disappoint me!The day I went to collect the 2nd dress in the pic (from the left)I sat inside the car with my friend nd told him to bring it downstairs!my friend was surprised ?like “won’t you go to his shop nd try it”I said nah,my Tailor is perfect? and as you can see,the dress fit like it was made on my body ??!outfit 1/4 is actually a top/shirt my tailor made but everyone kept complimenting my beautiful “dress”?☺️for these few reasons and more not stated I believe my tailor deserves to win this competition!Sadly,my tailor actually need this upgrade so bad because his store space doesn’t match his wonderful works and I think he deserves better!

One thing that drives me to do business with people is the passion they display towards what they do…I thought I was too passionate about what I do until I met Miss Saate Wokoma @mz_saate I have never seen anyone so driven and passionate about anything as she is with tailoring…shes so talented and has got gifted hands,give her ur fabric and she turns it into something unimaginable…all I have to do is tell her what i want and she does it exactly and sometimes i don’t even have an idea of what to make and she gives me something to drool over?….funny thing is,she’s just new in this business,but with the great works she’s done,you won’t believe she’s just few months old in this business….She’s situated in Port Harcourt..She’s the only tailor I can send my fabric all the way from lagos to port Harcourt to and not be bothered about what I will get cause it would fit perfectly,she’s the only tailor that can make me travel all the way to port Harcourt just to make a dress and it will be worth it?..she tells me “Val,I am making this dress in one day and u are getting it the next” and really,its going to be as shes said and u are getting even more than what you asked for…she’s always on time,no delays,very affordable and her finishing, “Oh My”! I don’t tell her what to do with my material, I only give them to her and tell her the event I’ll be wearing it to. I do not stress over styles, she knows I like my outfits simple and she does just that. With @teeshogsclothier I do not have to lie I need my dress days before I actually need it (I’m sure a lot of people can relate with this) I’m at peace when she’s with my fabric because I’m too sure she will deliver on the agreed date. The only fight we have these days is price . Trust me she can be very annoying and I’m a handful too but we just know how to manage ourselves so well. She makes sure my dresses have a perfect fit, she’s so good that you’re so sure your dresses will fit perfectly without fitting it once she has made more than a dress for you previously, so no matter where I am I’m always sure that when my dresses arrive I will stun in them. My first dress from her is d middle dress, getting to her shop nd negotiating on d price, I was a bit skeptical abt how my dress was gonna come out, bt I kept telling her how expensive d fabric waswith style so she could handle with care,she gave me 2weeks nd boom i went 4 fittings & pickup, nd since dat moment she made that positive first and lasting impression, she can handle any tailoring need from the most simple to the extremely complex. Two months into her fashion school I had a movie premier to attend which I featured in and she said she was going to make my dress for the red carpet haha ?. This event was really important to me and I wasn’t sure if trusting her with such a task was right cos I am really strict and precise on cloths fitting and looking fab but she assured me she was going to deliver and to my greatest surprise she delivered! I was named best dressed at the red carpet event. That was the beginning of our client sister/fashion designer relationship?. Then came my wedding eight months after she was done with fashion school(march 2016) and this time I decided she was going to make me three outfits for my introduction and traditional wedding because I had seen what great talent she had displayed in that space of time and of cause she delivered! The fitting was on point and got a lot of compliments from people. Then nine months into my pregnancy I told Her i needed a beautiful dress for my baby bump photoshoot, my baby bump was big! so needed a dress that will be comfortable and still make me look fab and she delivered! What more can I say than I am proud to announce her to the world as my ride or die designer/tailor and proud of how far she has come in such a short space of time. Look 1 was for a NYE End of the Year party. Inspired by Cinderella, blue is a sophisticated color. Off shoulder sleeved gown with a sweetheart neckline. Look 2 My BDAY Dinner Emerald green for elegance, this look is made with silk, satin and chiffon. The sleeves draped and flowed in the wind. Look 3 my Uncle’s 50th. This is a 3 piece ankara top and pencil skirt with a detachable chiffon skirt. Red is a powerful and exhilarating color. I love vibrant colors that are eye catching. @_olaedo : In the past, I had my mum’s tailor make my dresses for any occasion. I could easily walk into a store and buy already made dresses, too lazy to go about looking for fabrics and a tailor. But, @i.wear.asika happened. My very beautiful, talented and amazing friend! Not just a tailor, also a designer. She made my first dress when she was still learning how to sew. I can remember picking up the dress and rocking it that same day because I was too happy Lol. Her taste and style is impeccable, beautiful finishings, not the typical “Nigerian tailor”. The shift dress in the first picture is the most comfortable dress I’ve ever worn. We make a wonderful pair, the first time I wore the shift dress I got alot of stares and questions, the next day she called me and said “Nne, I’ve received alot of orders for this dress, this is a bestseller”. The second one, I was a bridesmaid and she designed and sewed every bridesmaid outfit for the wedding. Myself and my tailor @kharyna_7thavenue @official7thavenue make a great pair, an excellent pair even. Her creativity fuses with my imagination to create masterpieces such as this one. And even the bible says that, ‘Can two walk together except they be agreed?’ A medical student, her walk into the fashion industry didn’t start easy and didn’t come cheap. She had to put in a lot of hard-work, self-teaching, interning and so on. It wasn’t easy. Her dreams kept her going, her skills, her orijinality, her resilience and diligence. But, it paid off. She’s my very own stylist, you see ehn with agibaby I don’t need to go thru d stress of choosing a style of what to make. I just drop my material n she uses her intuition n creativity to make what suits my body. Infact the day I mistakenly made a dress with someone else, even my hubby from the fitting knew it wasn’t my agibaby n didn’t complement me @ all. The execution is the most fascinatingly exciting part because my girl has a quirky brain. Fast forward to November 2016,my 16 year old sis changed my perspective about her works. Few days to a friend’s wedding ,I was stuck with no Tailor available to sew my dress and I was scared of giving my sis @larmmiecouture the fabric coz she already spoilt half the fabrics i had given her previously.
