The protest was never about the pretender, its about we the people. If we the people dont rise to the occasion we will sink to the level of our preparation. Tuface was never prepared so he will wallow in suffering and smiling mentality.
I am boycotting listening to his songs; #istandwithNigeria. Nobody has the monopoly of leadership ,finance, violent, impunity etc in Nigeria. This is our country ; if i perish i perish. Our mumu don over do,,,,,,

Good. By all means go ahead with the protest. But it is highly uncharitable for you to insult him, even after his explanation. Be there forming revolutionary under the cover of social media anonymity. Post your REAL name and contact details and see how far the rabbit hole goes!

@Nakoms; you are a fool. Coward; if you are not hungry people are suffering. The last time i checked we are in democracy and he or she has the constitutional right to vent frustration. I didnt see any insult there; suffering and smiling is what your likes are good at…coward.

Thank you. I also think the criticism of 2Baba has been very unfair. We often complain that politicians instigate young people to violence while their kids are safely in some mansion. It seems to me that 2Baba saw the prospect of something he’s helping to organize causing the injury or even deaths of people and decided, quite understandably in my view, that he didn’t want that on his conscience. If that makes him a coward, then he’s a coward I respect. Even if his concerns prove to be incorrect, he still has my respect for speaking out and acting responsibly throughout this process in spite of the hostility.

2Baba used his profile to raise awareness about the rally and get it most of the attention it garnered. He has suffered insults for supporting and helping to organize a protest and now is suffering more insults for being concerned about the people he invited out to protest. Many of the critics have never stood up for anything, but feel qualified to attack a man that has at least tried. Like Nakoms has pointed out, anonymous comments online don’t make you brave.

I’m happy that some are willing to go forward with the protest, and I hope it works out well. I hope that it remains peaceful and safe. We need to OWN our country.

Tuface is not a pretender and should never be burdened with the responsibilities of being held responsible for a protest, if you truly believe that the protest is ours then why boycott His music? What I am trying to say is that he has done his part and now it is left for other to do theirs.

I’m shocked, and disappointed. I had a discussion with a Cameroonian friend last night and she was frustrated about the situation in Cameroon. And I took solace in at least Nigerians can protest and is moving forward.
So, 2face gave in to the bullies, tyrants and dictators under Buhari. This took Nigeria back 30years ago. It’s evident now, Buhari’s administration is a military regime. This is NOT democracy. This is unconstitutional. Citizens are not allowed to express themselves. I’m sure they bribed 2face. Money is the best way to continue evil and shut people’s mouths There’s been protests under Jonathan before and it was decent. Their fear for security is utter rubbish and nonsense.
If celebrities, others are scared to stand for justice, truth and speak against the bad governance, the other Nigerians who are ready for progress, change stand will protest.
Nigeria must change, it’s in crucial need for a revolution. And it will happen with true honest Nigerians

Not that ‘they could have’, not that ‘they might have’, not ‘maybe they’ did…instead you’re ‘sure they bribed 2face’. If asked to justify your certainty, will you be able to? I doubt it.

Word choices matter. If you’re not sure, don’t say you are because it makes you a liar. If you’re sure then share your evidence.

YES!!!!!!!!! Now this is what I’m talking about, enough of the rubbish buhari can’t bully everybody. Tuface must have been threatened but this group is kind of anonymous so no police rubbish can get to them. I am coming out in Abuja tomorrow no holding back. Everything is freaking expensive, 1 whole year do they want to turn us to Zimbabwe where bread is bought with millions of their currency. Nigeria currency has no value yes we know we were managing it like that at 150/160 per dollar now it is flipping 500 haba. Apc said with change they can make 1 dollar = 1 Naira it’s been 1 year+ and the land is in turmoil. Is buhari the devil, is he a destroyer that lays his hands on something and it goes bad. We should have know he tried too much to become president. Our voices must be heard yes let’s do what is right

I really so hope the protests hold. And not a word From Buhari or Osinbanjo on the people exercising their rights. This is bad. Their silence may just be as bad as Gej dancing when the girls were kidnapped

    m just thinking aloud…….
During the Soviet dictatorship of Joseph Stalin. He was a brutal dictator with mind of his own. On one fateful day, Stalin came to Politburo meeting with a live chicken. Standing in front of audience, He started to pluck the feathers of the live chicken off one by one.

The chicken trembled in pain, blood tricking out of its pores. It gave out grievous cries, but Stalin being a cruel dictator continued without remorse plucking the feathers out until the chicken was completely Unclad.

After which, he threw the chicken on the ground. The Unclad chicken was staggering in pain. Stalin goes into his pocket and from his pockets, he took out some chicken food and started to throw it at the poor & helpless creature.

The poor chicken in pain started eating and Stalin started walking towards his seat. As he walked away, he kept dropping some feeds on the floor & the chicken followed him and sat feeding from his feet.

Joseph Stalin then turned to members of his political party leadership. He said, “This chicken represents the people”.

“You must disempower them, brutalise them, beat them up, starve them and then leave them”.

“If you do this, go into your pocket & give them peanuts when they are in that helpless and desperate situation, they will blindly follow you for the rest of their life, worshiping you”.

“They will think you are a hero forever. They will forget that, you’re responsible for their sorrowful situation in the first place.”

    Breath taking, isn’t it ?

Now! Take a look at all the people some Nigerians are busy defending on social media.

Take a look at those they call their heroes. They are the same people who plunged Nigeria into the situation she is. They are the same people who are responsible for their predicament.

#Could this be the Nigerian citizens situation presently?# In ma noble Opinion, i think it is.

Na today! People were warned repeatedly. But noooo they wanted Gen out and brought the saviour of Nigeria in the person of an old man of 72. I don’t know if we want to progress or going backwards.

God will definitely save us from this A PC lead government.

Like GEJ was any better ??? GEJ was just as bad. Did he not lie about the electricity and power situation in Nigeria? Did those Chibok girls not missing under his watch? So many things jacked up things happen while he was in power…So let’s not act like he GEJ was any better because he wasn’t.

      February 5, 2017 at 5:32 pm

Is this about party? Please and please adjust your mindset . The GEJ led government is part of it. The previous government too. We need youths rising and standing for this country if not what are our children coming to meet? Like I have always said home is always HOME nothing can change that.

      February 5, 2017 at 8:50 pm

@Ari… So because GEJ, was bad according to you, Nigeria is over for ever?
APC promised Nigerians change almost two years ago.
If you forgot, APC, is in office for change.
Why are you still calling GEJ?

I’m just laughing at how APC administration has finally put the nail on the coffin as being the biggest disgrace of democracy. We’ve been having protests in Nigeria, and this is my first time seeing this kind of push back under a democratic government . APC wasn’t about policy change after all, it was about old disgruntled men being angry that power existed in the hands of another party filled with old disgruntled men known as PDP. APC only got into power to continue the status quo and added terrorism to citizenry to its political legacy. Any youth still dying for these parties is the biggest fool on the planet.

      @Engoz. … You nailed it!!!

    • Mr. T

      February 6, 2017 at 8:34 am

Engoz, you are very correct! It is hightime we realized that these old men have failed us and stand up to push all of them out, replacing them with new tested and trusted names to lead this nation. For me that should be the purpose of the protest.

Democracy is hard. But we should not allow Police, the Army or anyone for that Matter to intimidate us, harass us or even brutalize us. The die is cast. This peaceful demonstration must go on as scheduled. If 2baba drops our of the peaceful demonstration, Others will march on. Since our government were trying to use part of the marchinery of government to deny us our rights to peaceful protest.. Every Nigerians needs to engage in Civil disobedience just to prove to our leaders we know our rights under the Nigerian Constitution and we are very Conscious of it.. The acting President of Nigeria. Professor Oshibajo. Call the inspector general of Police and his men to order. Because we are not going to back down from this demonstration. Should anyone participating in the peaceful protest gets killed or maimed by the Police. The Inspector general of Police will be held responsible. A word is enough for the wise. I’ just Saying.

  8. Patriotism is Crap, worry about yourself and your family!

    February 5, 2017 at 5:47 pm

All you criticizing Tuface, if anything happens to him, will you take care of his family? Can you take his place in the lives of his kids? Look, patriotism is a bunch of horseshit and that’s the unpopular truth. If you can put your country above your family, you are an infedel! Corruption didn’t start with Buhari. You are expecting him to fix in 2 years a situation that has been building up for 16 years. Explain to me how that makes sense! The truth is, whether or not our president had been GEJ, Buhari or even Abe Lincoln, this was bound to happen because of the years of mismanagement by the PDP peeps. On the other hand, Tuface is a superstar who can afford his lifestyle and most of those insulting him can’t. Therefore, you insulting him can lead protests as well, can’t you? After all, he isn’t more Nigerian than you and you probably need change more than he does! Don’t hide behind your Techno phones and cuss him like cowards!

Tuface was forced to make that video under duress at the office of the DSS. He intended to go ahead with the protests but under this government, if you attempt to speak up, bad things can happen to you.
