“Must they insist on exposing their ignorance on our social highway?” – Charly Boy Blasts Critics of 2Baba’s Planned Protest

Charly Boy has blasted those criticising musician 2Baba‘s planned protest against government at all levels over their policies and the economic downturn.

In a post on Instagram, the ‘Area Fada’ said that even if anyone opposes 2Baba’s planned protest for any reason, they shouldn’t “expose their ignorance” on social media as it is clear that corruption, political criminality, poverty and suffering are reigning supreme in Nigeria.

He wrote:

I just tire when I read some useless tweets and updates about Tuface.
As a Fada, e no go nice if I just sidon make some guys dey f**kup, dey miss yarn because dem Mumu never Do.
Have we not suffered Enough?
Are we not Hungry Enough?
Has Corruption not crippled our People enough?
Has Political Criminality not damaged our Morality enough?
Wetin remain again, no be to enter street?
If some can’t see the sense in the march 2Baba is organizing why must they insist on exposing their ignorance on our social highway? If 2Baba like make e get 7 kids with 3 babymamas, what has that got to do with the price of garri in the market?
Has 2Baba not been actively involved in the demand for good governance before now? So why is it that he has ulterior motives now.
Anyhow, anywhere any day I go show, because Na our future we they fight for. Since last year me and some exceptional nigerian youths are also putting together The Mother of all rally’s to be held in Abuja. We must see the end of this nonsense.
Pikin wey say him mama no go rest, him too no go sleep. We they come, them go know how far. Am calling on all celebrities wey get mouth to speak out and fall out. Everybody wey dey fraustrated with this country must show, enough is enough.
The planned protest had drawn criticism from 2Baba’s former colleague, Blackface, President Buhari‘s Personal Assistant (Social Media), Lauretta Onochie, as well as some individuals in the academia.

Thank you oh Charly, please keep at this. How did change become a reality in the west , go back to history. the people first wanted to see change, they were hungry, tired, frustrated and yes they went to the streets! All these ones talking, are just social media champions for nothing, if you want change you have to demand it, and put in some work toward making that change a reality! so yes I am all for this peaceful protest! These noisemakers are really the problem we have in this Nigeria! I just tire, but I aint giving up! Let us know for the Abuja one, if I am not in Law school by then that is ! hehee

Have you noticed whenever celebrities are involved in cases it never yields any fruits? Just cause they are doing it for their selfish interests. So Tuface wants to walk and all the yeyebrities show up and crowd our timelines, for days/weeks/month. Few months laters they start bagging endorsement deals. People won’t take leave of absence from their jobs for any walk. Just because the celebrities support you doesn’t mean you have the support of the country! A good case study is Hilary and Jonathan. Celebrities were screaming their support up and down and the real electorates siddon dey look. Yes, Tuface we know you need to keep being in our faces to remain relevant and keep making money. Am not pro Buhari or anything but dude sit your ass down and think of a way you can find a solution. Your protest won’t make dollar come down but if you can find a way out of recession for us we will appreciate otherwise uncle goan sit somewhere with your group/gang. Since the govt of the day is not throwing money again to you and your collegues you now want to carry placards. Same guy that can’t even grant a coherent interview. SMH! They want to do a repeat of occupy naija that turned into a carnival whilst wasting people’s time and made us lose millions. #IDONOTSTANDWITHTUFACE

      Dear Ruby, you’re ignorant.
I’m not insulting you o! Ignorance is a state of intellectual unawareness on a topic/issue. You only just exposed your lack of knowledge in matters of social justice, and worse still your lack of critical thinking skills. Let’s play 21 questions. How do endorsement deals (his source of income) correlate with asking for more from the government? Also, which millions did YOU lose during the #occupynaija? How do Hillary and Jonathan even tie into this? Did Tuface ask other celebrities to come with him? He reached out to the electorate…the same people that were dissatisfied with the PDP buffoonery and decided to vote someone else. Is it too much to then demand what was promised from that same government? Is he forcing anyone? Now my final question…How many posts have you seen that makes it seem like he is self-promoting?
My dear, calm down. If you can’t comprehend the cause, just walk on by. Since you can give a coherent interview, my dear then why not start working towards the solution that you might have to profer on the issue. Even though I doubt you have that ability…you can prove me wrong someday.
All the best sitting on your behind ‘waiting on the world to change’
I had to end on a corny note. lol.

Clap for yourself jare! I didn’t know the recession is affecting only people that can grant coherent interviews. Anyway like they say on Fresh FM here in IB, your pepper seller might not know recession, but she understands the increase in the price of bread. Your case study of Hilary and Jonathan sef was erroneous, but I would leave you to figure it out. Bt come oo is it the government that would fund the protest , is it the government’s money, is it your money?? He is not an economist, so why should 2face be thinking up solutions, he is a citizen with the right to comment on the state of the nation. If you are not interested in the protest, it is not by force

…If TuBaba and friends are inviting the youths to a free show where skelewu, sekem and other stupid dance steps are sure bet, they will show up. The Nigerian youths are the dumbest even though they always pretend to be smart. The youths population should probably be over 60% of Nigeria total population and yet we are held hostage by few greedy leaders ( probably less than 50k in number). A typical naija youth is selfish and greedy and that`s why you see graduates supporting these rogue politicians for mere 50k. I have given up on arguing with people on social media about naija issue. The moment naija youths come to their senses and realize that they are the government and the future, then 90% of our problem is solved.

Kai! Some dumb comments sha. Y’all would rather sit at home and watch telemundo than take your destiny in your hands by identifying with and supporting a just course?! The idea is to make everyone well aware of our deprivation and lack as a people…if staging a peaceful protest by organizing a one million man march and playing drums and music will make them listen, we will dance all the way…

BN please confirm the press release sentiut by Lagos state police command stating that the protest will not be allowed to continue. Their reason is hoodlums plan to flood the protests. ?

2baba’s songs from ‘e be like say’ to ‘for instance’ has made his stance clear on his stance in government Vs the people. The march will hold successfully whether they like it or not

    @ Ruby
“Same guy that can’t grant coherent interview”? You are a FOOL.

What has Tuface ability or inability to grant interview got to do with the reality we have. With all your coherence who you epp? Gerrarahere!

Even if Tuface addressed his reason for lending his voice to this protest in pidgin or his native language #WeStandWithHim. Not because he is 2baba, but because it is true and a just cause.
