Did you watch Day 56 of the Big Brother Reality TV show?

If you missed it we’ve got the highlights for you!

..

Nervous reflections on their journey

One thing is certainly clear from today’s Eviction Diaries: Unlike week’s passed, the Housemates see their fellow Nominees as worthy adversaries and are a lot more nervous about getting sent home than usual. The fact that the grand prize is within reach and a double Eviction could be on the cards only adds to the anxiety. That said, everyone seemed to have elected to remain optimistic.

Kicking things off was Debie-Rise who confided in Biggie that she had faith that people were going to keep her in the game citing her “talent” and “respectfulness” as her strongest traits. Now while she might be quite fond of her guitar, Efe is certainly not. He went as far as saying he thinks she’s being divisive and deliberately irritating people by playing it constantly. It makes sense now why he snapped at her on Thursday when she tried to bring it with her into the glass booth they had been asked to get into by Biggie. He did however point out that he was confident about his odds as well as ThinTallTony’s because they’d been “the most hardworking and consistant” Housemates.

TBoss certainly wasn’t as confident about her chances and felt that TTT and Efe in particular were “loved” outside the House. Biggie asked her if she’d change anything if she got the chance to do this all again and she said she’d try not to get too attached and be a bit more selfish. She did say however that she’d greatly enjoyed her time on the show especially the games. This was a sentiment echoed by TTT who rounded the sessions off saying that he’d loved the personal and artistic growth the show had given him.

He also said he felt quite optimistic but had an inkling that tonight’s Eviction might be a shocker with Efe getting sent home. He argued that this was because Efe had been a bit off his pace lately.

ThinTallTony bows Out

Much like week’s past, TTT won virtually, every single challenge that was thrown at him including the Payporte Arena Games (for a third time!) It is precisely because of this that he was often seen as a tenacious competitor and “threat” by the other Housemates who were absolutely shocked to learn that he was heading home when Ebuka broke the news. It was clear that many of them had already figured that he’d make it all the way to the finale but this is Big Brother and if there’s one thing that’s always rang true it’s the fact that you can never pre-empt what the viewers are thinking.

With both Debie-Rise and Efe being declared safe earlier in the show it was down to just ThinTallTony and TBoss. When the former’s name got read out by Ebuka there were audible gasps from the other Housemates and Bisola immediately started weeping. He hugged her and let her know it was going to be okay before telling everyone that they’d been “amazing” and that he “loved them all!” As the doors closed, they all sat quietly on the couches, shocked and still trying to process everything that had just happened.

Then came the interview that everyone was waiting to hear. ThinTallTony came out on stage looking very energised and let everyone know that he was “living his dream” and had waited “12 years” for the chance to be on this show. TTT then turned to the matter at hand making it clear that what happened between him and Bisola “was not real” and they’d “talked” about it. “It’s a game!” he kept reiterating. He also made it clear to Ebuka that he didn’t appreciate how people treated “married” people so he decided to keep his personal life “private” and never speak about his wife and children whom he refused to discuss despite Ebuka’s best attempts to coax an answer out of him.

It’s the ultimate HoH title

Biggie told the Housemates during the show to make their way to the Arena which was awash with colour as the Housemates were greeted with an Arena full of balloons. where they were to compete for a very important Head of House challenge. They were told that this was the Ultimate HoH Card and he told them that the meaning of the card would be revealed on Monday Night.

Ebuka told the Housemates to go into the Arena where they were met with a huge amount of balloons. They had to pop the balloons and search for the letters that spelled the words – Head of House. The first person to successfully spell the word out would win the new title of Ultimate Head of House

Biggie told the Housemates to Freeze and then got them popping balloons again, telling them to first pop the balloons using their bums and then their hands again. In a laborious Task, the sound of poppingt balloons filled the Arena as some of the Housemates got visibly flustered. TBoss was obviously wanting to win this one as each piece of paper that didn’t correspond to what she needed was thrown to the floor angrily.

Debie-Rise desperately searched for a “D,”. Biggie opted for a game of patience, this time. Bally looked daunted by the sheer volume of balloons in front of him as he and Bisola discussed the futility of the Task ahead. Debie-Rise came close but eventually, a triumphant Efe held his spelt words and was pronounced the new Head of House.

Turns out Nigerians don’t like unfaithful husbands who deny their families. Sad part is he could have won if he had been honest.

Exactly what I said, we are not stupid na, you cant just lie about something that’s about the most important aspect of your life. It tells so much about what sort of person he is. Saying he is married might just have being an advantage for him cos he had a great chance of winning and obviously his lies brought him out of the house.

Lol……Nigerians are the most sentimental people, every lady having issues with thier man simply saw TTT as the guy to take revenge on! Did his Wife complain to any of you!! It was obvious the guy thought he could keep his life private so he wont be judged at every turn! and possibly discussed this with wifey! Lol. but Yall FBIs no let him plan work…..

Anyway, Im team nobody cos i mean who fan don epp, plus cant even deal with how deep some viewers are taking the game. I watch occassionally to be entertained and objectively speaking TTT was a great, focused, consistent and talented HM. Definitely one to watch out for! All the best to him.

TTT wasn’t just great. He was arguably the life of that house. I agree with you that Nigerians are the most sentimental people.
If this was Bigbrother Africa, Efe, Debbie or Tbos wouldn’t have gotten half of TTT’s votes. Neutral countries would have voted for him because it’s so clear he is by far the most interesting and entertaining guy in the house. You can’t even compare.
If BBA 2011 was a Nigerian affair, Karen wouldn’t have won. In fact she would have been evicted early on grounds of … maybe having silicon implants and therefore fake.
Nigerians have a strange way of expressing their likes or dislikes. So strange that a bystander might be moved to ask what they want exactly.
The only person in that house now that is capable of giving people something to watch is Bisola. But she may not do it that well without TTT. And I don’t mean merely seeing both of them under the sheets.
I guess there will be lots of sleeping in the house henceforth. Apparently, that’s what majority of Nigerian viewers and voters want to watch. Very, very, very boring! It got boring without Gifty but now it’s gonna get worse. The best player just left.
Congrats to whoever gets to win but I believe that most of the interesting housemates have gone. TTT shouldn’t have been evicted.

well said Gifty, absolutely correct on every word, phrase, clause and sentence u type… most nigerians are just not expose to see what this game is all about…… #ILLITERACYPROBLEM#

Nigerians really need to chill, we can be so unforgiving..I thought people had moved past TTT’s romance/friendship etc with Bisola. Apparently they still held it against him, despite his talent, creativity, etc. TTT is a cool guy,he blends really well with everyone, mature, intelligent, full of fun and life. If only he had at least played the married man in the diary room, just maybe he would still be on the show.

      March 20, 2017 at 2:21 pm

      My thoughts exactly!
Not even a mention of his wife in the DIARY ROOM, and then screaming about wanting to f**&k Bisola the other night… what could be more disrespectful?
This is not even about hypocrisy or whatever, men like him is the reason most girls here in Abuja get into trouble with dating married men. There is limit to being PRIVATE, some things just can’t be ignored.

TTT was a good player in the game if only he was truthful. If he had even kept his marital status from the housemates and still acted responsible in the house like Efe . Ppl won’t have talked and truly believed his sorry excuse of keeping his family private. But he had to act like a dog and playing with Bisolas emotions.
He’s a patholigical liar and I pity his wife.
Not disclosing his marit status and acting irresponsibly with Bisola as a married man got him out.
Perhaps him saying the truth and being a good player on the game would have even helped him.
Because people knowing he had a family to feed and all the loss he’s suffered in his life would have connected and endeared him to people the more and they might have voted him to win.
But Bisola sef I will take a man of TTT age not being married and not in a serious relationship with a pinch of salt. Even Bally atleast was thruthful to her he had a serious rltshp out there.

    March 20, 2017 at 1:08 am

I don’t even understand the guy, was he planning to divorce his wife abi I did not hear him well ni. He said he told Bisola that maybe outside the house their relationship could work. Shuuo. The guy is just too funny, he should have narrowed his research to Nigeria only and used his marital status to his advantage. Bisola dey cry like fish. Biko face ya work!

as usual, Nigeria full of pretentious , hypocritical , sentimental fools. .did his wife complain to you?, actually, his wife was supporting him through out ..Nigerians always drinking panadol for other people… as someone mentioned above , I wish this was bbafrica..other countries were allowed to vote

    • kenz

      March 20, 2017 at 8:27 am

mr john the thing tire me oo, he owe dis perfect people(Nigeria full of pretentious , hypocritical , sentimental fools) that are full of shit no apology and they are just there typing trash as if they are perfect, i share your views and am happy someone is well expose to see that he came into a game he played a game. He did well for himself, he doesnt owe nigerians any apology by the way its BBA naija not the TRUTHGAME so i still find it hard wat is wrong in what ttt did.

      March 20, 2017 at 9:52 am

through out you say? she stopped when he was getting too close to Bisola, even his mum came out and told her any other woman is counterfiet doesnt that pass a meassage? Besides him having a family woulda made him win actually, Nigerians would have felt he needed the money mnore as he has responsibilities and has been struggling for a while. He shot himself in the foot

  12. kay

    March 20, 2017 at 9:15 am

He lied about his family so he could have the liberty to flirt without being judged as a married man, he played a good game against the housemates, but trying to play the viewers was his downfall, Big brother severally asked who he missed the most in the diary room, giving him many opportunities to recognize his family at least to the viewers alone but no.

When he stripped and exposed the difficult experiences he has been through, he didn’t think to keep those ones private abi, I strongly believe his kids alone would have attracted a lot of fans who will make sure he wins.

Well, like everyone else i wish him all d best, at least prospective clients now know what talents and skills he can serve with if only they can trust him.

    March 20, 2017 at 10:16 am

M in S.A and m so disappointed in you Nigerias. …how can you let such a talented go……jeeez. you need to be exposed and more civilized the world is changing. That’s why people travel out of you country …how can you be so personal and judgemental in a person you dnt even know in person man…….

  14. Ugigi

    March 20, 2017 at 12:39 pm

First, I am not a fan of any contestant. I am a single guy among married friends and with relationship. So I understand with TTT when he talked about how Nigerians take married men (especially ladies). I absolutely agree with him. But here are his mistakes and possible remedies that could have helped him:
    1. He didn’t anticipate that Nigerians will dig out profile through social media. So wasn’t aware the public knew about his status even when he came out of the house.
    2. It was ok/pardonable that he hid his true status from the housemates, but should have remained faithful to his marriage while in the game and in the face of the viewing public. Remember this is Nigeria, not Africa or Europe.
    3. Suppose he was reserved but romantically inviting with his good looks, charisma, intelligence and maturity, he would have been a torment and sought after to the ladies and other HM who would believed he is single. Trust the voting public would have wanted to keep him in the show to keep the entertainment on.
    4. Playing a married man only in the diary session and acknowledging his family would have endeared good number of fans to him with sympathy and also, appreciation from married women across Nigeria.

In conclusion, he played a good for entertainment game in the house, but did not play to the heart of Nigerians who decides the winner. I wouldn’t though.
I could as well count Gifty’s mistakes, How Bisola could be hurting her chances going forward, and how Tboss could possibly enhance sympathy to win more fans. For now, Efe is just unstoppable as it stands. The simple reason is “the street”, nothing more.

    March 20, 2017 at 2:01 pm

Honestly, I feel for him. He was the best contender for the money. And he played himself. Even if he didn’t disclose to his fellow housemates that he was married, he should have behaved more responsibly in the house. Even in the diary room, he should have recognized his family time and again. He would have easily garnered more votes with the ‘Im a struggling family man trying to put food on the table in my home’ story. But instead he was messing around, and with Bisola, clearly a fan favorite. I hope you have learnt your lesson TTt. And I wish you all the best.
