Hi. My name is Jennifer and I am a marketing communications professional. I have this ‘marketing director’ at 30 dream and I believe the career masterclass can help me achieve that. I am at a good place in my career but I also understand that career development, mentorship and guidance is a lifelong process. I know the master class would be a good opportunity to get all the right information, knowledge and resources I’d need as I continue to navigate the murky waters of the Nigerian corporate environment. LOL

I am Joseph Akpan, popularly known as JOSEPHISM by friends. I am an Accountant working with Simba Group. Also a fashion stylist and Model with a personal brand name House of Phism. I am particularly interested in the career Master class because this will help with boost my self-confidence and further open my eyes to the big world of Entrepreneurship. I have been looking for such opportunities for personal development and networking but as seen above, the cost of such classes are always pretty expensive for ‘an upcoming’ Entrepreneur. This will certainly make my weekend and the money spend will be “well spended”.

I work with stakeholders to improve internal processes especially the client impacting ones, source for ways to engage and add value to all segments of clients while driving an innovative culture in the organization. I work for a Financial Services Institution which happens to be a market leader in its field but I’ve been extremely bothered by the growth opportunity. I happen to be part of the pioneer members of a unit and it’s been a daily struggle to find a clear path most especially because the expectations are overwhelming and the time is short. Also one of my goals is to be a woman of impact in my field and to achieve this i need to attain great heights and attending this seminar will really help me with this. Listening to testimonials of how women have been able to achieve their career goals in their young age, exposure to what to look out for in a mentor will be a dream come true.
Seeing/hearing about women breaking barriers in their fields greatly inspires me. I’m 24 and its important I get it right early.

    I hope I win this

  4. Kess

    July 14, 2017 at 1:34 pm

My name is Kesiena Epia, a graduate of Parasitology and Entomologywith a Masters-in-view in Public Health Parasitology. I am a development worker and have worked in different projects ranging from HIV/AIDS to Malaria to Livelihood and more recently OVC ( orphans and vulnerable children). I have worked as a volunteer, an intern, program officer and short term consultancy. In the midst of this, I feel like I have barely started on the ladder to becoming a global public health professional and policy maker, I feel stagnated with no results to show which is quite demoralizing as I am a result oriented person. I believe that attending the career masterclass will help me identify where I am lacking and how to leverage on relationships to achieve my career goals. I also believe that I will learn how to identify, engage, build and sustain relevant relationships in my field that will be of great benefit in building a career that will impact on the development world.

Hello. I’m Temitope. I’m an Administrative and HR personnel. I would really like to attend this masterclass as it could provide me insight on how to improve the mentorship program which I created for the non-management female staff at my current employment. I also run a photography business part-time.
Also i believe that the program will also connect me with women who have also achieved a certain level of success in their chosen career fields and whom I can learn so much from.
I really hope I win this because it seems I get passed over or never have the right words of win any of this tickets that are posted on here from time to time…

    July 17, 2017 at 1:41 pm

Well, the Lagos State local government elections would be holding on the same date. There would also be vehicular restriction of movement between 8:00am and 2:00pm.

I am a lawyer by training and provide administrative legal services with my current organization. I need to make some hard, fast decisions concerning my career. I feel very loyal to my boss. Things are not so kosher right now with the organization and I dont want
to feel like I’m jumping ship because of this.

I believe I have learnt all i can here from here though so I feel ready to test other waters.

I would take the lessons from the career master class to either morph into another career landscape with my present organization or move on. Thank you.

  15. Felicia

    July 17, 2017 at 2:30 pm

I am Felicia, a Legal Practitioner, currently practicing and pursuing a masters degree in law . I however, have found new interest in broadcasting . I have always had skills for broadcasting and making presentations in school and I mistook it for advocacy in Court. This is a new career path for me. The truth is I do not even know how to start, whether to pursue a course in one or look for a way to join the industry. I feel so much time has passed to start something new.
I believe if I am equipped with the tools to fast track this new career of mine with this program, I will have the right motivation to pursue a career in broadcasting.

My name is Adaoma and I am a budding HR Generalist. This seminar I believe will open a new door of insights, opportunities and enlightenment for me.

    July 17, 2017 at 11:15 pm

My name is Temi and I am a lawyer. Specifically, I practice finance law in one of the top tier firms in the country.

I would love to attend this conference because I believe workplace mentorship is still rare in Nigeria and especially if you are female. The opportunity to learn from women who are at the zenith of their professions in sectors still largely populated by males is a great opportunity.

  18. Ogee

    July 18, 2017 at 1:14 pm

I’m a 24 yr old graduate of Biochemistry with working experience in e commerce and the financial industry . I currently work in a financial institution in a department that is considered key i, I was lucky to find out early enough that i wasnt passionate in my field of study , so i didnt exactly consider a career in it .

I would like to say Im a passionate person so any field or role i find myself i always give it my best . My supervisors and colleagues always have good testimonials of how excellent i am with my job , my team spirit and a lot of things . I am bothered i am not building a particular career path even after 4 years of working .

I believe this training would bring a lot enlightening for me and I love to see ladies excelling in their different fields and breaking barriers in male dominated industries like all the speakers have done . I know i have a lot to learn from the speakers concerning career growth and general excellence at work . It would be a nice 25th birthday gift from the BN team for me
