Terry G wants to be Governor & Deputy Governor of Benue State
… Terry G too?
In what looks like a competition among Nigerian entertainers, ‘Akpako Master’ Terry G has declared his intention to run for the position of both the Governor and Deputy Governor of Benue State in the next State elections.
He’s promising good road, water stability, power stability and an opportunity for everything to be fair and legalized.
He posted a campaign flyer on social media and captioned:
My people, the time is now. Power belongs to the youths, say no to old cargo… vote Terry G for Governor/Deputy of Benue State. I will make you proud.. When I say legalize you say ginjah..
Earlier today singer Kcee also seemingly declared his intentions while actor Yul Edochie declared his intentions earlier in the month.

These ones will just take the ‘not too young to run’ bill we’re excited about and turn it into a joke. Terry G ,can you even rule your own affairs, wanting to be deputy and governor simultaneously…. Smh

The fact that he wants to run for governor and deputy shows that it is obviously a joke. I think he’s making fun of his counterparts running ( i.e. Yul and K.C.)
Seriously

This is getting funnier by day. Just bcos we said we want more younger people doesn’t mean errybody and their mama should sign up. All these people are going in for the money. I mean when you have these politicians stealing millions of dollars, it’s an easy lucrative business.
Can we see more qualified, genuine, young leaders who are not going in to make money but to make a change in the country.

I like this guy… he is helping us cut cost by unifying the office of governor and the deputy, I believe he is more frugal than Peter Saint Obi of Anambara state….

I think we ought to be very careful. We are giving the oldies and the establishment ample reason to say the younger generation is grossly unprepared to rule.

We joke so much we have forgotten that jokes are only known to be jokes to an audience that willingly sat in on a joke. For those just flipping through the pages of a website or newspaper, it is an unveiling travesty that is beginning to affirm the thought that the recycled politicians are a better risk option.
