      September 5, 2017 at 5:34 pm

The ladies are beautiful no doubt but I have two questions.
      1. Why over airbrush their pictures in this age and time?
      2. Why all these weaves and more blinding weaves everywhere?

    • Singer

      September 5, 2017 at 7:51 pm

      *Most beautiful girl in Igboland.

    • Olanma

  3. Oluwakemi Adeoye

    September 5, 2017 at 3:23 pm

The girls are so beautiful, Dark skin girls everywhere. Love it, However, this may sound tribalistic but what happened to the girls from the WEST, hian not even 1, just ONE yoruba girl, I saw a name that sounds Nothern, I’m not sure, Silverbird y’all didn’t not miss one year to come back and do this. A lil tiny bit of diversity maybe.
    Beautiful girls though.

    • Olanma

      September 6, 2017 at 1:11 am

Yoruba and Hausa/Fulani girls hardly have time for beauty pageants. Even though I’m Igbo, I like as most of them aren’t crazy about these so called beauty pageants.

    • Joyce

      September 15, 2017 at 8:19 pm

My dear, Silverbird will not force someone to apply. They go with the best that applied from each state. Check the name of the girl representing Enugu, it doesn’t sound Igbo. We are one Nigeria. Going with the best is better than picking someone because of tribe.

    September 5, 2017 at 4:23 pm

The extreme photoshop and over production is not allowing these my eyes to see their true beauty well well. Biko tone it down next time. The photographer and production people are acting like children playing with lego blocks for the first time. Also, why are my igbo sisters over 90% of the contestants? Silverbird please work harder in your casting or whatever next time pls. There are over 200 tribes in Nigeria. Warrisdis? And please i’m not being tribalistic. I’m Igbo.

  16. Just asking

    September 5, 2017 at 5:55 pm

Just a thought. Why do Igbo girls like peagent?

    • Mrs chidukane

      September 5, 2017 at 8:13 pm

Keep asking, don’t go and buy form.

    • Winnie

      September 6, 2017 at 12:26 am

      Because they’re pretty and smart.

    • Belema

      September 6, 2017 at 1:13 am

Ridiculous answer. Why should she buy a form? She’s asking a question and you’re telling her to buy a form? There’s more to life than beauty pageants. I myself wonder why they’re so into beauty pageants.

    • Nma

      September 6, 2017 at 7:54 pm

You just showed you’re not smart with your response. “Pretty and smart” on top pageant? ? I’m Igbo yeah but the fact that y’all had to be defensive because of a simple question tells a lot.

    September 5, 2017 at 6:31 pm

My opion, please consider this very seriously.

MISS AKWA IBOM and Miss Borno (Considered for Miss Tourisim)

  19. Angie

    September 5, 2017 at 7:33 pm

Miss Anambra and Imo will do very well in the modelling world. Their faces are just too well structured.
For me: Miss Anambra, Imo and Gombe. Top 3.

  22. Mrs chidukane

    September 5, 2017 at 8:13 pm

    Beautiful girls,wow!

  23. Akara Pancake

    September 5, 2017 at 8:32 pm

No disrespect to, and not taking away anything from chicks from other races or ethnic groups, but there is nothing more gorgeous or more precious than the Igbo female.

Dear Igbo woman, you are beautiful

    • Abi

      September 6, 2017 at 11:39 pm

A similar sentiment was expressed in the famous autobiography, ‘The Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olaudah Equiano or Gustavus Vassa, the African, published in 1789. The writer lauds the ‘Eboh’ female as fairer and more gracefully beautiful than any other.

  24. Bakers Street

    September 5, 2017 at 8:53 pm

90% of the girls are Igbo. Igbo girls are just too fine. Miss Imo should win but Miss Bayelsa is really beautiful.

    • Belema

      September 6, 2017 at 1:15 am

90% of the girls are Igbo as they like and are way too involved with “beauty” pageants.

  25. buks

    September 5, 2017 at 8:59 pm

Yes, they’re beautiful but this is the 30th anniversary but only one main tribal group is represented??? What a shame!!

    • Abi

      September 6, 2017 at 11:40 pm

      Na who fill form na.

  26. Helen

    September 5, 2017 at 10:16 pm

Miss Ebonyu toh bAhdt! Go gallllll! Naturally beautiful!!

  27. nnenne

    September 6, 2017 at 12:04 am

Could it be the contest was not publisizied well, or that some girls didn’t want to run?
Was it due to cultural issues?
    How do they choose them?
Wondering why there’s a lot of south, South and south Eastern girls!
    Beautiful girls, nonetheless!

  28. Johnson

    September 6, 2017 at 12:20 am

Is this what we have to offer.

  38. MyThoughts

    September 6, 2017 at 10:04 pm

The day our northern sisters decides to contest, that will mark the end of other tribe winning beauty contest.. Trust on that

    • Ibitimi

      September 7, 2017 at 4:49 pm

Why, how? …Based on what? This una “myth” is so deceptive cos (except for the<5% like The Indimis in Bornu) most aint as pretty as some of you are made to think/believe. By the way, I schooled in A.B.U,Zaria..met more than enough; more than my fair share, & more than I could ask for,…and frankly, nothing too extraordinary (when compared to the league of Chinenye Ochuba and/or Agbani Darego).

    • Ibitimi

      September 7, 2017 at 5:42 pm

I disagree with you. I schooled in A.B.U Zaria, and interfaced with as many Northern ‘sisters’ as I desired; and indeed not many are in the league of Chinenye Ochuba and Agbani Darego.

  39. Noise Maker

    September 6, 2017 at 11:03 pm

Abeg, it looks like this pageant thing is run by people from the East and South South.

Really speaks volume. Y’all just place girls in different states not necessarily that they are from that state.

No wonder, nothing is ever legit in Naija. All Na fake!

    • Charlie

      September 7, 2017 at 5:24 pm

STOP making noise;…ppl frm the East & SS, bla bla bla..
Hey Homie!, its either ur girls frm the North & SW aint pretty enough, or they just too lame
to make the cut! No excuses here; enough of your absolutely baseless ‘conspiracies’.

    September 6, 2017 at 11:27 pm

    Heb 4: 5

    “Ye know its Imo”

  41. Joyce

    September 15, 2017 at 8:32 pm

I cannot understand all these noise about tribe. We are trying to select someone that will go and represent Nigeria in the world and you are here fighting over tribe. Will silverbird go to homes in different zones and force people to apply? They went with the best of the applicants from each state. We need to stop bringing ethnicity, religion, etc into everything at home. This always lead to mediocrity, it’s one of the biggest problem that’s pushing the country back. The lady representing Enugu, her name doesn’t sound Igbo. I am from Enugu and I don’t care where she’s from. All I wish is that she does well. Whoever that wins should do us proud like Agbani Darego, whether she’s Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, etc.

  42. Royal46

    September 16, 2017 at 2:17 am

It doesn’t matter. They all are fake! And is hiding behind tons of makeup on their face and wearing hair weaves. Remove that makeup and see how beautiful they are. Turn off the lights at night, and see her in the morning. Those women don’t look that good in Africa, my friend told me about many of them. Most of them are bleaching their skin.
