Nnamdi Kanu challenges Court Order labeling IPOB as a terrorist organization

Nnamdi Kanu

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) movement, Nnamdi Kanu has moved to challenge the court order declaring IPOB a terrorist organization, Premium Times reports.

Kanu’s lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor revealed this in a statement issued on Friday claiming the motion has been filed already.

Ejiofor in the motion argued that IPOB is a non-violent organization, therefore the decision by the Abuja High Court to issue the order is illegal.

He added that his client was not given fair hearing and the court lacked jurisdiction to give that order.

How is IPOB a terrorist organization while the herdsmen that are killing innocent people are not? that is the story for another day.
Everyone is clamoring for restructuring and shouting marginalization. Aren’t all Nigerians being marginalized? When the country is restructured, are they going to reconstruct the brain of our leaders or are we going to import alien to come and rule us? The country’s situation is the reflection of us, we need to change our mindset. Whether we restructure the country or not, we are still going to experience the same problem inasmuch as we keep putting the old wine in a new bottle.
It is a known fact that the Igbo people are being marginalized but my problem is that why not these agitations during Jonathan’s regime when they held key positions? The only advantage of having your tribesmen in any parastatals in Nigeria is just not to weaken your zone politically, aside from that, we did not benefit anything from the federal level, we are all suffering and smiling in poverty either we have a representative or not.
Politically, everyone was pretending as if Yorubas were not marginalized in the last dispensation from the top to the bottom – who cares? how does a layman benefit from them if they are fully represented? instead of disturbing the peace of the nation, they fought their battle diligently.
We are all affected by the way this country is running, it is only elites that are smiling to the bank irrespective of their gender, religion, ethnicity and so on. We should all come together and start fighting for our right from our local government that is closer to us. Abeg Nigeria needs peace at the moment, the country is hot already.

    Enough is Enough!
