Tagbo’s Death: “Would you have abandoned him if it was Mayorkun or Dremo?” – Deceased’s Friend to Davido | WATCH

Tagbo's Death: Would you have left him if it was Mayorkun or Dremo? - Deceased's Friend Speaks

Last night, allegations were made against music star Davido regarding his complicity in the events surrounding the death of his friend, Tagbo.

The singer earlier today has however labelled such allegations as “false and incomplete lies. He also refused to say more on the matter in respect of the deceased and his family.

However, a friend of the deceased who goes by the Instagram handle (@dammykerry) has spoken out, expressing anger at the unconfirmed reports that Davido and his crew “dumped” the deceased in the hospital.

He put up a photo of Tagbo with Davido along with other photos of the deceased, also uploading a video where he spoke on the issue.

May Tagbo’s soul rest in peace. May God grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss. I have no idea what caused his death but I just want to discuss the effect of alcohol to inform people.
It is a fact that alcohol can cause sudden death when taken in excess. Alcohol stops one’s ability to breath (respiratory depression). The effect is even worse when one drinks alcohol along with other drugs that can suppress breathing like diazepam (valium), barbiturates, and opiods (heroin, codeine, morphine etc). Most of these drugs are used to treat different conditions like anxiety, seizure, insomnia etc, but they are prescribed at the appropriate dose.
Excess use of these drugs or a combination of their use can be fatal. For example, someone who is on valium or codeine can die suddenly with drinking a little amount of alcohol that he/she normally tolerates. Please let us drink responsibly. When you are on benzodiazepines (valium class of drugs), phenobarbital, or opiods, please do not drink alcohol. Some of those drugs stay in the body for up to three days, so it does not matter if you did not use the drug the day you want to drink alcohol, it can still be in your system. Please post to educate people. I do not mean to imply that Tagbo’s death is due to alcohol, only God knows what caused his death.

Uncle, have you considered that they might have been drunk or high or some sort and as a result made a poor decision to not be there so that they would not be arrested or garner bad publicity? Calling Davido out on here just seems to be a way of channelling your rage about your loss, but it isn’t fair. Everyone has agency and should take responsibility for themselves and not hand over complete responsibility to a celebrity (or other so-called friends).

And Aunty Bella, there suppose be a trigger warning on top the video. Hian!! Plenty bad language for am. Me I no send, but at least give your readers a choice.

I was saying same thing in the last post of how everyone is supposed to act responsibly as an adult and don’t hand out ur existence to some friend, who might not even be all in control to save the day.. I was called silly and having a cheat opinion.
Let’s take responsiblity of our decisions and the lifestyle path we have chosen, our friends might not just be there to save us

Every body is suppose to be responsible for him self and every one is suppose to watch out for the other. People are jumping through hoops to defend a particular person in this issue because of his status or something. This is how a certain south Africa put up with the excesses of a certain Oscar Pristorius until he shot someone’s daughter. Watch it! Allow the authorities to do their work!

Scoos mi oga…i aff a question to hask?

Which authorities? Nigerian police? Do they even have a database or swobs to take off the corpse? Do they even know what a crime scene is?

A lotta Naija boys these days are hooked on codeine and excessive alcoholism during parties or friendly meetings. This is very common amongst rich kids on the Island. Codeine and the wrong alcoholic drinks can lead to a heart attack, especially if that drink is an energy drink that has high caffeine in it. Red bull is a perfect example. Its killed a lot of people, you can research that.

Bottom line is this is a case where the deceased had too much to drink, mixed wrong liquids and passed away but his friends…ignorant and unaware of the cause decided to do what anyone else would have done in Lagos if someone died in their car.

The police and the useless public service forces in Naij are the reason why people don’t report cases like these when they happen. Regardless, God bless his soul. RIP
