Multiple Casualties reported after Shooter opens fire in Newspaper Building in Annapolis | BellaNaija

Another shooting has occurred in the US, this time in a building where newspaper Capital Gazette occupies in Annapolis, Maryland.

The Anna Arundel Police Department shared news of the active shooter on their Twitter, writing:

Active Shooter in #Annapolis. PIO is on scene.

They added that the building has been evacuated, and officers are searching still searching the building.

#update confirming active shooter at 888 Bestgate Road in Annapolis. Building evacuated. Officers continuing to search building. Relocation point is inside Lord and Taylor in the mall.

According to the Baltimore Sun, a reporter with the newspaper Phil Davis said that multiple people have been shot.

The police are yet to confirm if, indeed, anyone has been shot, but have said a suspect is in custody.

    When the Fulani herdsmen killed 100s of Nigerians, I took time to switch from every news station in New Jersey, then went to on to the big news, CNN, CNBC, FOX, none and I mean NONE carried that news, then there was the fire yesterday and same thing, none mentioned it and today you guys are publishing five people killed in Maryland USA ! It’s sad how we take international news more seriously than ours, not impressed!
