Supercars, Power Bikes, Quad Bikes: Here are the Highlights from Bimmerfest 2018

BMW Club Parade

The much anticipated 2018 edition of the Bimmerfest by BMW Club Nigeria, held successfully on Sunday, October 7th, 2018. The festival featured supercars, power bikes, quad bikes drag races, exhibitions and several other fun activities. The festival kicked off at 12 noon on Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The dual-lane Akin Adesola Street was used for the races. The location was properly secured by security agents. Officials of the state safety agencies were also present. The law enforcement officials ensured that non-participating cars do not make it into the lanes that were being used for the races. Instead, those cars were diverted to alternative routes. The show started with the arrival of various cars; mostly BMW cars. Of course – it’s a BMW event.

The BMW 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 series were all present for the event. The almighty Apina B7 also graced the event. The show officially kicked off after the BMW parade along the road mapped out for the car show. In the procession were BMW cars from the BMW Club Nigeria Members, BMW Club Ghana (who came all the way from Ghana to partake in the event) and power bikes from various bike clubs (B.A.D Gang, 514 Ryders, ERMC).

Immediately after that, the drivers of the various BMWs displayed diverse skills and stunts with their automobiles. The stunts were amazing; they cooked up doughnut enough for everybody.  The smell from the burnout of the vehicle tyres saturated the air. The event also featured mind-blowing drag races. A lot of cars competed.

    This is actually very nice….

    The story should go…

.Then some young people started modding their cars to win the championship, not long after they started making their own cars.

[sometime in the near future an ongoing family conversation in the crowd ]
Parent ask their child: do you know what year that car that won the prize was first made,

Child replies: i know it was made in Nigeria but i cant remember the year.

We have the power now to make it a reality because it will be in the years shortly after we put a complete stop to the infringement of the inalienable rights of all human beings.

    Good job guys!
