Somkele Idhalama, Vimbai Mutinhiri, Michelle Dede spotted at “The Gathering” – A Fashion Business Dinner at Lagos Fashion Week 2018

Last night, Heineken Lagos Fashion Week 2018 kicked off in an incredible way. This year’s Fashion Business Series event was tagged “The Gathering”; an intimate dinner party which held in the uber chic Wings complex with an exclusive network of designers, models, editors and more from Nigeria and beyond for its annual panel session which explores the not-so-glamorous business side of fashion.

The panelists included top Blogger and Editor Tamu McPherson, Visual Artist Trevor Stuurman and Daniel Hatton, moderated by Style House Files/LFW Founder Omoyemi Akerele. They discussed the topic – “The importance of platforms in fashion’s eco-system”.

The by-invitation-only fashion business dinner brought together some of the biggest names in the fashion, including Adebayo Oke-Lawal, Dimeji Alara, Latti Ronke Bamisedun.

Other designers included Bridget Awosika, Emmy Kasbit, Papa Oyeyemi, Destiny Nwadire, and Fashion Focus Finalist Adenike Balogun. BellaNaija Style’s Mary Edoro was in attendance as well as blogger Akin Faminu, Photographer Kelechi Amadi-Obi, Media star Vimbai Mutinhiri and stylist Jane Michael Ekanem.
