Here are the most memorable runway moments from Lagos Fashion Week 2018:

Celebs on the runway

Celebrities took over the runways at Fashion Week. Among the model line up some favourite familiar faces made their runway debut including:

Seyi Shay sashayed during Tokyo James‘ Spring/Summer 2018 showcase. She rocked a made-to-fit leather trench coat with slinky heels.

Adunni Ade and BamBam surprised fans as they walked the runway for the Maybelline New York show with daring beauty looks done by the Nigerian team led by Bimpe Onakoya.

Tobi Bakre and Ayoola Ayolola followed suit for Ugo Monye‘s powerful show. They had on interesting face paint with well-tailored fits.

Nigerian model and newly minted Arise TV presenter Ojy Okpe, took the runways after a long break from being a full-time model. She looked like a total diva walking for House of Deola.

Yagazie Emezi and Ezinne Chinkata also made their runway debut last week. Documentary photographer Yagazie strutted in a white dress from Maki Oh‘s Buka inspired Spring/Summer 2018 collection.

While Fashion Entrepreneur, Ezinne walked for Gozel Green, Meena and Nkwo respectively.

Mai Atafo‘s final bow featured a sweet moment with his daughter

After presenting an astounding showcase complete with a violinist playing live as models walked the runway in covetable utilitarian looks from the Urban Jungle collection, Mai Atafo came on stage for his final bow and guess who hopped up on stage right into his arms? His adorable daughter! – Too sweet for words.

A model walked the runway with her baby!

For Studio 189‘s diverse show, one of the models looked exceptionally phenomenal as she walked, danced and twirled on the runway in a “Studio 189” printed tee and a pleated A-line skirt —oh, and did we mention she was carrying her cute baby throughout the whole thing? It was very inspirational!

All through the activity-packed four days, we had a very helpful companion – the TECNO Camon XWe chose to go on this LFW journey with the Camon X because fashion week moves so fast and this was simply the best way to capture all the fast-moving action.

With super PD focus technology, it tracks and captures sequences of moving objects in sharp focus, so there will be no more blurred shots for us! With many of the fashion shows taking place in the evenings and at nighttime, we are assured of catching even the most unexpected moments in the blink of an eye.
