The Free SME training themed How to Position and Grow Your Business in The Overcrowded Social Media Marketplace took place last week Thursday at The Kings Court. 3, Keystone Bank Crescent, Off Adeyemo Alakija Street, Victoria Island, Lagos and the experience has made SMEs rain accolades on Social Media Creatives.

The training was explosive just as promised and participants have described it as one of the best SME training’s they’ve ever been to that was practical and addressed their business needs for optimized growth.

The facilitators did not leave any stone unturned as business insights, result-driven approach, brand knowledge, social media strategies that will help SMEs generate conversion, the art of storytelling, how to create valuable content, defining a brand’s target audience persona, how to stay ahead of competition and many more specific to the attendee’s business was shared.

It was a gathering of businesses that are hungry and passionate about growth and sales through the use of social media while still standing out from the crowd. SMEs were gripped with excitement and knowledge at the end of the training.

Grace Omonzogie, CEO House of GIG, a creative fashion house that uses Ankara to make unique and contemporary ready to wear designs said “The training was rich in information and knowledge. I learnt a lot of new things about branding, social media, content marketing and designs. The training was a good one for me and I’m glad I didn’t miss it.”

CEO of Jacema Cleaning Services, a health and hygiene conscious cleaning service provider for offices and homes, Jane Nwosu said “The training was an eye-opener for me. I love the fact that solutions specific to each business needs were offered by facilitators and the practical session on brand management and designs made me realize the untapped potentials in my business.”

According to Juliet Ekwere, General Manager of GolfView Hotel & Suites, the only hotel in Lagos overlooking a lush green golf course, “This is one of the best training for SMEs. Quite a lot of SMEs are not aware that they are still scratching the tip when it comes to social media marketing and I will love the Social Media Creatives team to organize this type of training more often for SMEs. I never knew I can create my graphics design myself and also get social media management service from the same platform and I’m sure many do not either. I’m so glad I was equipped with mind-blowing knowledge.”

The first session was on the Rudiments of Social Media for Small Business, followed by a practical session on Online Brand Management for Business Growth, while the third session was on The Role of Content in Driving Profitable Customer Action.

Damola Adeniyi, Digital Marketing Manager and Communications, Dangote Group who took the session on The Role of Content in Driving Profitable Customer Action shed light on how content is the heart of what is done on social media and it is a commodity small businesses cannot afford to trade for anything. He further broke content down to 5 strategies which are context, quality, personalization, conversation and hype.

At the end of the training, SMEs learnt that to stand out in a crowded social media marketplace and draw the attention of customers, creating engaging and effective content is vital for small businesses to drive conversions. SMEs also realized that attractive visual content is the winning tool for attention as lack of visually appealing images, creating a consistent and well-designed theme, and properly branded graphics design for social media posts are the main problem for business growth.  Videos were also highlighted as an important part of contents but it is not effective in communicating your brand theme and colour to customers like image designs, and data usage is also a constraint for customers which makes it not sustainable. It has been proven that image designs help in building a brand’s perception.

SMEs have also compared Social Media Creatives with other design platforms and realized that this is a platform that understands and suits the Nigerian SMEs because it offers local themes and templates for our very own festive periods and national days, it provides  local industry insights, weekly content tips and guides for subscribers, the team also offer brand management advisory for SMEs, the platform is more like  your social media manager as service platform, subscribers are also trained in online brand management,  designs created can be resized to all social media sizes in one click and designs can be scheduled ahead of time – This you can’t get on other design platforms hence, the platform is much more than a graphics design platform, it is a full online brand management platform for social media marketing.

Knowing the above, the SME’s that attended the event requested that Social Media Creatives should kindly offer a discount on the tool so that they can use it for their designs at an affordable rate, cutting out the need to have a graphics designer on board, which costs between 80-200k per month.

We are extending this one week offer of 30% discount to other businesses online, who want to create a very good impression on their social pages, and can’t afford to get a full-time graphics designer in-house due to costs.

With the 30% discount, subscribers get to pay the sum of ₦40,000. This is ₦3,333 monthly but payable annually and gives you access to create 1200 designs in a year (₦30 each). Click here to get this offer before it runs out on Friday, November 16th, 2018.
