Mixed Emotions
Mixed emotions trailed the exit of KimOprah and Ella.
For the second week in a row, two more Housemates have been Evicted from the Pepper Dem House. Ella and KimOprah’s Eviction brings to a total of four Evicted Housemates from the House. While the Eviction was expected, some of the missed emotions that trailed the Eviction did catch us by surprise.
The Heart Wants What the Heart Wants
One, in particular, that had the internet buzzing was the sight of a visibly grief-stricken Gedoni who was bent over in tears – with Khafi comforting him shortly after KimOprah made her way out of the House. It’s hard to tell why he had such a teary show of emotion or what he and KimOprah got going, but the internet had its theory.
A few thought it had to do with matters of the heart and Gedoni’s heart might be somewhere else, other than with Khafi.
So Gedoni cried because……? No wonder Khafi broke down…it suddenly dawned on her Gedoni still had a thing for Kim….ay feelings will kill people!

Mercy Wins
Ella’s exit from the Pepper Dem also caused an uproar but not entirely in the way that we thought.

Fake Perhaps?
Maybe it was the fact that the Pepper Dem gang had lost four Housemates in just two weeks, or perhaps there were still in shock, but a couple of them felt the Evictions were fake and by some magical twist, Biggie was going to bring back some of the Evicted Housemates. “I think they are going to come back,” Khafi expressed to Tuoyo, who shared her thoughts too. Naija wasn’t having it though as they came to clear their doubts.

A lot of emotions poured in, but one thing was clear to see – a lot of people lost their favourite Housemates and they couldn’t hide the hurt.

Biggie challenged the Pepper Dem Housemates to a simple memory challenge. Or was it simple?
To begin, the Housemates were given 20 minutes to find the 30 number cards Big Brother’s Ninjas placed in random locations in the House. They were to memorize the number on each card and the cards corresponding location. One rule – they were not allowed to touch the cards. Easy right? Well, that should be easy for the prize of immunity from Nominations.
The Strength in Our Numbers
At the sound of the buzzer, the Pepper Dem gang got invited into the Arena for the second part of the Head of House challenge – the memory test. As they strolled into the Arena, the Housemates seemed confident as they silently crammed the numbers they had memorized.
Trust Biggie to pull some pranks as he launched today’s challenge with a little musical interlude. In his words, “Nothing like a little dance exercise to loosen up”. Distractions possibly?
The Fault in Our Memories
The first 2 minutes were blissful for the Housemates as they successfully got through the HoH race. The communal joy was cut short when Mercy was excused from the Arena, as the first Housemate to lose the chance of becoming Head of House.
Alongside, Tacha, Frodd, Diane, Jeff and Mike followed suit. Do we reckon numbers are harder to memorize than alphabets, perhaps?
Every Task has some disqualifiers – Jeff, Mike, Ike and Tuoyo got escorted from the Arena for offending Big Brother and violating his rules.
The Mnemonists and The Nemos
To separate the number geniuses from the…you know, Biggie gave the last six (wo)men standing in the Task a warmer challenge. He read out four locations and instructed them to write them in the order that they were listed.
Ike, Seyi, Jackye, Gedoni and Omashola were isolated from Esther for their lack of guessing the exact locations correctly. As Esther read out what she had memorized, it was evident she came into the Arena ready for any hurdle Biggie had in store for her.
Esther left the Arena with congratulatory messages from the Housemates, as she left with the HoH crown and 250 Bet9ja Coins in her pockets. In her words, “To the women, we did it!”.

More Than A Show
Following the teasing moments they brought to our screens last week, the MerIke pair finally decided to put the game aside and admit their feelings for each other.
“This is real, not a show”, said Ike while clearing Mercy’s doubt about his feelings for her. To further buttress his point, he asked Mercy to give him a chance and even vowed not to mess up the opportunity, if given.
It may seem as though our gangsta has been severely bitten by Big Brother’s love bug. Perhaps?
In his words, “I’ve got it all – I’m trending outside the House and I’ve got you by my side”. We can’t help but love this duo.
While she went red as a result of Ike’s mesmerizing words, Mercy gave Ike a warm hug and went on with her grooming duties.

Speaking of possible ‘ships’ in the BB Naija House – Tuoyo who still appeared disturbed with Diane’s response to Ebuka last night, was found telling Mercy that he’s certain Diane derives pleasure in playing her game on neutral grounds. What is Tuoyo trying to tell us?
We can’t wait to see other budding relationships in Biggie’s House.
Seyi Declines To Use His Veto Power
Seyi, Mike, Frodd, Tuoyo, and Tacha have just been Nominated for Eviction.
A few moments after Biggie surprised the Housemates with bags of goodies, each of them was called into the Diary Room. It was the Nomination time and the Pepper Dem gang had to choose who will be Evicted at the Live Show on Sunday.
It’s the third week in the House and quite a lot have changed. Besides Ella and KimOprah’s Eviction, we have also seen some alliances getting deeper. Merike and Khadoni ring a bell and Tacha isn’t getting along with the others. Anyway, considering what has happened so far, here’s how the Pepper Dem gang Nominated one another.

The Veto Power
As the Veto Power Holder and being in the Nomination list, Seyi has the power to replace himself with any other Housemates Nominated. But to the surprise of even his fellow Housemates, Seyi refused to use his power by saying, “I decline”. With this the atmosphere became charged after Biggie announced that the following were hereby up for Eviction: Seyi, Mike, Frodd, Tuoyo and Tacha. Is this selflessness or stupidity? Let’s wait and see.
With Seyi’s show of selflessness and eventual loss of his Veto Power, do we expect to see some peppered reactions among the Housemates in the coming days? Will he regret this decision later on?

Beyond Eviction
In Biggie’s House, Eviction is inevitable but what happens to the game?
Following the Eviction of Avala, Isilomo, Ella and KimOprah from the Big Brother Naija House, seat belts have been tightened and Housemates are no longer leaving anything to chance.
When The Scales Fell
Initially, the Pepper Dem Housemates were bonding to the point of being clingy with each other. Biggie saw this and decided to shake up things a little. With the Eviction of Avala and Isilomo from the game, other Housemates went back to the drawing board to put their strategy back to order. Khafi, Ike and Omashola revealed to Big Brother in their Diary session that following the announcement of the Eviction, they now realize that it was a game after all. Who would have thought Biggie’s surprise Eviction would have put the Housemates on their toes?
Reshuffled Alliance
One Housemate who truly believed in forming alliances was Isilomo. For her, creating an alliance was key to winning the game and we saw how she did that with Ella.
Who can forget the budding alliance between Jackye and Khafi which almost dissolved after Ebuka’s chat with the pair during the live Eviction show? What caused the rift between these two could be traced to the story of Tacha spotting a fetish anklet.
With the latest Eviction of Ella and KimOprah, sides have shifted in Biggie’s House and we can’t wait to see how this affects the game in the weeks to come.

A Risky Strategy
While Mike was generous with his Nomination choice, Nelson wanted to root out his competitors.
After a fierce Eviction Nomination in which the VPH proved how selfless he could be, the Housemates were invited into the Diary Room in turns. It was an interesting time as we got to know the reasons behind each Nomination. They also told us how they were feeling after the Nomination.
The Reasons
For some Housemates, choosing anyone for the Nomination was a tough decision. So they did it because it had to be done. One of these Housemates was Mike, who felt that Seyi and Tacha had the power to escape Eviction using their Veto Power and fans power respectively. Like the gentleman that he’s been so far, Mike seems to be considerate with his choice. Or could it be just another strategy?
Other Housemates, on the other hand, saw the Nomination as an opportunity to hit back at their opponents and competitors in the House. Since the Show is a Game, they felt that putting their strong contenders up for Eviction would give them an edge. One of the Housemates who hold this opinion is Nelson who said that he Nominated Gedoni and Seyi because they were competitive.
Sacrifice or Stupidity?
Asked what they thought about the VPH’s decision to sacrifice his power for others, most of them believed that it was indeed a selfless act and commended Seyi for his bravery. However, Jackye had a different opinion. She said that the decision was a stupid one, that there was no point putting oneself up for eviction when one could easily let the cup pass over him or her. Whatever the Housemates might think about his decision not to use the Veto Power, Seyi is one Housemate with calculated moves, so who knows if he was up to something with that act?
With Tacha making it into the Nomination list again, how sure are we that her teeming fans upon whom she has so much relied will not disappoint her this time?
