Months after the internet broke with the video of Busola Dakolo, accusing Biodun Fatoyinbo of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), of raping her when she was a teenager, a high court has given the final verdict to the case.

After a widely publicized court battle between both parties, a federal High Court in Bwari, Abuja, on Thursday, dismissed the case filed by Busola Dakolo against Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA).

According to reports from Punch, Busola was charged a fine of ₦1,000,000 as the Justice explained that it should have been 10 times more for wasting the court’s time. The Justice also added that the court case was not aimed at getting justice but at cruelty.

Justice Oathman A. Musa, in giving the judgment, held that the matter amounts to injustice and an abuse of judicial process, and added that the case is empty and purely sentimental.

Dakolo filed the suit against Fatoyinbo after alleging that he raped her in 2002 and caused her emotional distress. Fatoyinbo’s team of lawyers, led by Alex Izinyon (SAN), had however argued that the prayers in the suit were ungrantable by the court and that the suit was frivolous and an abuse of court process.

You are an idiot for that statement. How is she a fraud? Think about it how can someone that’s married with children wake up one morning and just decide to lie against a popular pastor knowing fully well her reputation is at stake. Let me tell you something as a victim of sexual abuse ( who decided to call out her abuser who was my Uncle 25 years later) there’s this freedom from naming and shaming your abuser and if Busola is able set herself free with this call out, then she’s had her victory . However long it takes her to speak up is not anyone’s business.

It is quite unfortunate that we do not have a reputable judicial system in Nigeria. Having sex with a 16 year old whether consensual or not it is illegal and hence it is a crime.
What do you expect from a Muslim judge. Obviously having sex with children and marrying the underage is part of their religion and would not see anything wrong with it.
You can lie and cover up your sin before men but you can not hide your sins away from God.
Busola Dakolo, get on with your life and hand over all to God to judge and reward the perpetrators accordingly.
They may get Scott free in the court of human but not in the court of our Heavenly Father.
God be with you Busola Dakolo.
