KMT – NONSENSE i’ve never liked this man anyway but so what our nigerian brothers are telling us black women is that – when they hit the big time – they will drop us and move forward with a white chick. I never liked him as well for my ‘feminist’ reasons… I don’t care if white folk are ‘racist/prejudiced’ but when its one of our brothers, that sucks. This has become the pattern of Dbanj videos, either when he uses black girls they look like complete skanks or he throws in a white chick unrelated to the song which is in yoruba like in Gbono feli feli (unless of course she is naturalized Nigerian, hehe).

I agree sometimes African artists don’t use enough african girls in their videos. but that’s even with american musicians. most of the times the african-american artists use a lot of hispanic girls rather than the beautiful dark skinned girls. It’s rare, but I CAN’T COMPLAIN. I don’t like how some rappers degrade black women in their videos. So i guess at times i’m okay with them using those type of girls. If those video girls like being portrayed that way then who cares. Let them keep shakin their bum bums

I like the Dbanj as an artist, he has swag and it comes thru in his music. However I am disappointed that he would prefer to use light skin (call it mixed if you want to) or oyibo women in his video. i always felt that was an American thing, bcos in Yankee the big wigs that run the show feel that Light skin is more attractive so they push it in the videos. I would love to see more beautiful darker toned women featured. Gosh cos when you see a fine dark skinned girl eh,, you have seen a beautiful woman. As far as my prefrence, I prefer all kind, haba i’m still a man. But when you are on tv, you are potraying an image or an idea that many will emulate, you have to set an example. If I was an artist, and even if i no send for dark skinned girls, I would still use them, just to break the mold. We need to “emancipate ourselves from mental slavery”
