designers' outlet iv front

On Saturday, 5th December, 2009, Lagos will witness the ‘first of its kind’ opening of ‘‘The Designer’s Outlet 4 Charity’’, a brainchild of Mo Abudu, host and executive producer of celebrity talk show, Moments with Mo.

The outlet is another arm of the Inspire Africa Foundation, which is the human investment expression of the Inspire Africa brand. It is a non-profit organization that aims to fundraise and harness diverse resources primarily from Africa to implement much needed programmes that are geared towards achieving effective and lasting change in our continent. The focus of Inspire Africa Foundation is on inspiring the African child, with our flagship project starting in Lagos.

“The Designer’s Outlet 4 Charity” is partnering with the best names in Nigerian/African fashion, such as Amede, Deola Sagoe, Fred Eboka, Frank Osodi(House of Bunor), Ituen Basi, Lanre Da Silva, Nikki Khiran, Odio Mimonet, Taé, as well as the renowned international fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg. The Outlet will provide; for the very first time, a ‘one stop shop’, where a variety of the beautiful designs by these designers can be found under one roof. ‘The Designer’s Outlet 4 Charity” will enable discerning fashionistas ‘shop with a conscience’, because between 15%-40% on all sales at the outlet goes to the Inspire Africa Foundation, to benefit street children.
