Some say that love is destined. That there is “the one” who was made and chosen for you and just you. From Ify Osadebay & Emmanuel Dumuje‘s beautiful love story, we are inspired to believe. They had known each other for over 20 years, as family friends, they had fond childhood memories of each other but it was just that. After not seeing each other for 14 years, the couple met again in December 2007. This time, they were all grown up and things were very different. After a few months, they started dating and soon, they both knew that it was special and when Emmanuel popped the question, it was official – Ify & Emmanuel were destined to spend the rest of their lives together.
The couple celebrated their traditional wedding in Asaba and then on the 12th of September 2009 in the presence of friends and family, they walked down the aisle and said their holy vows. Ify was glowing and so beautiful in her swarovski crystal embellished silk chiffon and tulle couture wedding dress accessorized with diamond jewelery and a festive pearl adorned red rose bouquet. Emmanuel was simply dapper in his black suit paired with a gold tie and red boutonniere. Ify’s bridesmaids were pretty in knee-length golden bronze dresses while the groomsmen were in black suits. Ify & Emmanuel’s reception was held at the Welcome Centre where they and their guests enjoyed a fabulous day filled with lots of romantic moments, music and festivity.

nna menh…this is the finnest couple after Chioma and Akolisa. Igbo people can fine sha! I find it very interesting how delta people do their trad. Incorporating igbo (bride kneeling down and giving wine to hubby) and yoruba (covering bride’s face w/cloth). Interesting.
